They hugged.
she kissed his cheek and whispered goodbye,
few steps away,
one last look and they both turned away.
Their food steps chasing the opposite directions,
hearts bled and words left unsaid,
not once did she ever dare to look back,
...if only she knew that he always did,
she wouldn't have held herself back.
