Robin

Raven scooted closer to me, closing the gap that Tara made when she left.

"So.."

"So"

There was a Moment of awkward silence. She leaned her head on my shoulder.

This stunned me a bit. But I played it cool.

I everted my eyes to something else.

Then I saw something in the shadows. Whoever it was, they were on the run.

It had a black to gray cape and a withe mask with a red X on it.

I got up quick and launched by grabbing the hook. Soon I was on the guy's tail with the girls behind me.

This is what I needed. A good chance to get my mind off things.

The guy stopped under a billboard and started to climb up.

I chuckled a little then started to climb. But I realized I shouldn't have stopped to laugh.

Within that split second the guy caught me off are and knocked me down with a red smoke bomb. I landed on a pole on the stomach then flipped on my back.

I lost my breath. But that red smoke. It was red-X. I hate that guy. He plays both sides of the field and gets away with it.

Tara and Raven went after the guy. While I still struggled getting up.

I followed them. They didn't get far. But they were losing, and that was unacceptable.

I jumped over to the next roof and drew my sword.

"This is going to be fun." He or she said. They were using a voice modifier. Just one of the many things Dick put into the be suit.

I swung my sword. Tara picked up a pace of street and brought it up to where we were and launched it at red-X. At the same time Raven cast a shadow spell.

We all missed. I growled in a slight irritation. I went after him or her.

I lost all sense of thought. The thought of losing a 3 in 1 battle angered me.

I just swung at where he was but missed every time.

Every time I missed the guy would hit me with his hand in the back of the head.

A rock hit me in the side, and I was thrown off course. "Tara!"

"Sorry!"

Then the guy hit me in the head again. I got so mad that I just lunged at the guy and missed completely and went off the side of the roof.

"Robin!" I heard Raven call out.

I saw her look over the side of the building.

As I fell, I grabbed onto a window sill still 5 Flores up. If I felt I was dead. I need both hands to keep my grip.

"Move!" I heard Tara say. Suddenly the ground beneath me came up like an elevator. It picked me up and took me to the top.

"They guys got away." Reported Tara.

"You should have gone after here." I said.

"Oh, I'm sorry I should have let you fall." She said in a sarcastic voice.

Raven

"I was fine." Damian protested. "I could have used my grabbing hook."

"You were on the side of the building dangling holding onto a window sill." Tara said blandly.

"I had it under control."

"No, you didn't! You almost died if it weren't for me."

"Like you care!"

"I care, brocade if I didn't help you and let you die Raven would probably kill me."

They both turn to me. Expecting me to say something.

"You both know I don't have it in me to kill."

I leaned over to Tara and whispered in her ear. "He is just mad that he was saved by a girl."

She laughed lightly.

That seemed to help a bit.

But Robin was scrunched up face like always, when he gets mad.

It's kind of cute.

"Do you know who he or she was?" I asked about changing the subject a little.

"I don't know," Robin and Tara said in unison.

The both stared at each other.

"Do you know what it was after?" I asked.

"Maybe."

"Like you know that." Tara scoffed.

Over the years I've learned that if Robin says he knows something he is most likely right.

"She was after Zoning."

"What's that?" I asked.

"It's what powers the suit she is wearing."

Damian stepped forward toward me. "It is a she. She may be flat chested as s***. But it was a girl. "

"Ok. I just have one question." Said Tara.

"What." Damian looked up at here.

"Why are you looking there?"

Damian didn't blush or change the subject or leave the question unanswered, like most boys do.

"I make it a point to analyze my opponent no matter what gender. So, if they got away," he raised his voice a little on the last part. "Then I can find her weakness and use that to my advantage. "
