CHAPTER 4

FAMILY

Clint wondered where the lady went. She disappeared without a word right after she helped him.

He went back to the wasteland with his vegetables. You could say Clint is a happy man now because he and his foster family could eat. Foster. They're not his real family but they've treated him like their son.

That made him happy.

When he came back to the wasteland, he looked at his house's door to see that it was slightly open.

He dropped a sweat and fear managed to go in him.

He almost dropped the fresh vegetables he got from the kind lady and man.

He cautiosuly walked to his door.

As the sun finally shone the insides of the house, it showed a horrific scene

His family, the only family that ever loved him, was hanged.

From adult to young child.

Their necks were bloody and none of them showed signs of life.

He should've stayed. It was stupid of him to think that he needed to go out.

Food was already enough but he was so stupid.

This was the consequence.

Tears finally fell down to Clint's face. He cried so loud that his neighbors heard him but they didn't come to see why he was crying.

Clint was now alone.

"My, who could have done this?"

Clint wiped his tears and readied his gun. He clenched his hand and anger started to rise.

"You.." Clint said.

"Haha, this is so funny eh?"

This man was Clint's number one enemy. The most evil villain in their land.

"What? Aren't you going to say anything, Cli-"

Bang.

One shot.

It was what it all took to make the villain fall dead.

He walked past the villain.

He decided to leave this land.

Who was he going to protect now? The land?

'That's bullsh*t.' Clint thought with a frown. The land had chiefs and Clint didn't want to stay because his precious family is now dead.

He then took a step out of the land.

Not caring about that filthy place that he once called home, he coldly stared at it as he walked away.

He was now simply alone.

Or is he?
