The odds were not in our favor, Templars usually being armed very heavily. Tali was a newborn and I was not strong enough to fight so many trained knights.

Just then, Tali stopped growling and opened her eyes. They were dilated and luminous again like a cat's. I was liking that girl more and more. I activated my earpiece.

"I need a strike team here stat. We are being attacked by Templars."

"At once".

Just then, I witnessed something no one could ever expect. We all started to feel a wave of uneasiness that quickly transformed into a crushing feeling of complete rage coming from Tali. I looked at the Templars in front of us and they were terrified. It was so powerful that my cat could literally taste it.

At that point Tali took off on all fours at inhuman speeds. Two of the Templars started running towards us. She reached them, clotheslined both of them sending them on their backs, and with her claws rammed her hands in their chest and ripped their hearts out. All this in one smooth motion. She then proceeded to remove ribs and threw them in the hearts of the Templars hiding, killing them instantly with extreme precision. She then ran at what seemed to be the leader and last man standing.

"Tali we need him alive for questioning". On queue she knocked him unconscious.

I turned on my earpiece again "scratch my last order, we just need a cleanup crew."

"Sir??"

** somewhere deep under the Vatican **

I have been doing this job for over 23 years. Every six months I go to the Vatican. I enter the high security wing I am assigned to. I get a strip search, change into clothes given to me and take the elevator to the bunker that will be my home for the next months. The job is insanely boring, but pay is awesome and I get 6 full months off a year. Just for checking a stupid artefact and making sure its empty. That's it, nothing else.

The elevator doors opened letting me out into a big square room which would be my home for the coming month. It was just freshly cleaned from the previous tenant. Protocol indicated that we would never meet and no message between us was allowed. I settled in and went to check on the artefact. For the first time since I started this work something different happened, the goblet was full... of blood.

** In a room upstairs **

A red phone started to ring. It had never done that, ever. A man picked it up

"YES?" He said loudly, more then he should really.

"Grand inquisitor, it's the artefact, its full of blood."

"Understood"and he hung up. Just then someone knocked on the door.

"Come in".

A guard came in panting.

"Sir we have news of patrol sigma. Its dire news."

"Go on..."

"They encountered a newborn bloodsucker. The newborn decimated the team to the last and captured the team leader."

"WHAT?"

"It's not the worst sir, the fight only lasted less then a minute."

"Leave me" the guard left.

The Grand Inquisitor took a cross in his hands

"My lord, she is back and I am too late this time. Please save our souls"

** Tali at Francine's house one hour later **

We had left the area with Mike in a hurry as soon as the cleanup crew arrived. I didn't remember much. Just the anger killing them and passing out. I had awakened a while later in the car. Now we were back home and Francine was freaking out. And to make it worst, the Templar we had captured earlier had poison on him and had comitted suicide.
