** Present Time, Sandi sitting besides Tali's bed **

"So you mean to tell me I've been in a coma for a week? I turned, I look like a zombie and I am tied to this table to protect people around me? Is that all of it?"

I nodded "And yourself yes. Francine says that if not you would hurt yourself as well as us. She says you're in a rough pass right now."

Just then Tali was about to speak, but she seemed faint as no words came out. Francine came running and looked at Tali.

"Hey there you, don't speak, just relax." Tali nodded yes. There was something between them, some love, some connection that I could not explain otherwise. Francine was looking at Tali the same way a mother would look at her new born baby and Tali was returning that love

"Here drink this," Francine bit her wrist and fed the pouring blood to Tali who started suckling. The event was somehow extremely moving and I felt that I needed to leave, so I did.

Tali was on and off like that for a good week and a half. After that day, I was not allowed down there but Francine would keep me up to date and also very busy with work related requests. I was keeping things on track at the office for her. Then one day she had me brought to her place by Mike, not telling me why. Though he had a dreamy smile all throughout the drive so I knew something was up.

"What's up with that smile of yours Mike?"

"Oh nothing you'll see." Was all he said with a huge grin.

Mike pulled over at the house and nodded at the door. "Just knock and go in they are waiting for you" which is what I did.

When I went in, a servant told me to go to the study, so I did as requested wondering what the mystery was all about. Francine was sitting opposite a woman. To say that she was pretty would have been an insult to her pure beauty. She had luscious long fire coloured hair that went down all the way to her knees, with not a braid out of place.

She was about five foot 9, had pale beige skin almost like a new born baby, and her skin obviously was untouched by the damages of the sun. What literally sold her as a vampire were her eyes, they were quite literally blue cat eyes, which were completely soul grabbing, oh and they were glowing too. Even though she was wearing no makeup, her lips were fire red, her eyes were shadowed exactly the right way, she was the kind of woman that was perfect right out of bed. She was wearing a loose t-shirt, slacks and was bare feet.

"Hey Sandi!" Francine said smiling "Come join us."

"Hey there." I answered a little shyly. That woman was giving me strange reactions and were it not that I was linked to Francine then I would have fallen for her easily.

"Tali woke up" Francine said with a huge smile

"OH MY GOSH! Where is she?" They both started laughing and looked at me like they had a common joke.

The lady with Fire hair then looked at me, flashed fangs and said "Oooh Sandi girl its meeee!!!!"

At first I didn't recognize her, but she visibly knew me. Then it hit me , her voice. "TALI!" I literally jumped in her arms and hugged her. Then I remembered the fact that I was hugging a new born vampire, which made me want to back away. But as if reading my mind she said "I just fed, no worries. That and Francine is here to protect you silly." Another mind reader??

"Yup" she answered my unspoken comment, which made me feel a bit cheated, everyone was a mind reader all of a sudden.

She looked at me and said "I won't snoop I promise...."

"Good!"

"Not much anyways."

"HEY! That's not nice." Then I started crying uncontrollably. She hugged me close again.
