First, was a garlic encrusted steak
The sides of the meat slathered in garlic
Kinda like love
You gotta get through the over powering flavor of fear
To get to the juicy slab of meat
That pumps feelings with every beat
Second was a stalker
Who didn't seem much of a talker
Kinda like love
A person's shadow attached to your mind
Faint and whisky like a thought that's always there
Third was a monk
Dressed in orange robes cascading in never-ending wraps
Kinda like love
The different feelings all wrapped intricately around your heart
Fourth was the glass jar of peach apricot jam
The juicy, thick liquid sloshing in its fragile container
Kinda like love
The sweet sugar coated words of love floating around in your veins
Last, but not least is my heart
It's rhythm changing constantly putting me in different states of mind
Today has been strange indeed but not as strange as the effects of love
