☠️POSChap2: Chorus Girl☠️

(First Person POV)

"Sing higher! Sopranos are better than that!" Our new instructor yelled at me. She hated me the most. She said that I was far by the weakest and that I was barely passing. But really...i was brilliant as everyone else. Our choir is perfect! She wants so much more than we can her...

"Excuse me Madame Fay! I believe she is doing quite fine!" A strong voice called form the rafters.

Everyone's faces visibly paled except mine. Being new, I didnt know what everyone feared. A man in all black with a white porcelain mask jumped down from the ceiling. Causing most to jump and yelp. They all backed away with clear fear in their eyes on written on their faces. I stared at the black being. The man had black slicked back hair and pale white skin to match his white mask. He had piercing blue eyes and wore a black suit with a cloak over his shoulders. He came forward from the middle of us all and stood next to me. He held my hand. Who was this guy? His hand linked with mine and I felt a weird spark travel up my arm from his hand and through my heart. I sprayed silent. I needed water.

"Her singing is fine. You are just too rough. How is she supposed to learn if you give her infinite anxiety! And so for the other chorus girls as well!" This man waved his free arm over the other girls who flinched, as if they were about to be hit. Tho they kept a fair distance from the man. Madame Fay looked both furious and scared! I have never seen her scared before but it was quite a sight! I stood their innocently. I tried to understand. No one told me about a man wearing a mask. I didn't hear anything either about such traits of people jumping down onto the stage from the high rafters above.

"Now listen here! This is my Chorus group! You have no more rule here Phantom!" Madame Fay finally spat out. She had venom laced in her voice. I flinched at her tone, and instinctively hid behind the tall man's side. He seemed to take notice of this and come forward with a swift moment at Madame Fay. He slapped her across the cheek, he had taken off his black glove to slap her! I stared with my mouth hanging agape in pure shock!

All the chorus members gasped and stood still with wide eyes and hands over their mouths. I couldn't believe this man! And he was called Phantom?! What was even going on anymore?! Madame Fay gaped in disbelief at the Phantom and held her cheek with her wrinkled hand. She growled and her face turned into a deep scowl. A natural look upon her face that sent most running. The man stood strong. I felt his hand grip my waist as I hid behind him in fear to get caught in the whirlwind. I felt this was enough! Madame Fay wasn't always so bad! I understood she just wanted to teach! I tugged hesitantly but lightly on the man's sleeve. He looked over at me with a flame in his eyes. His expression softened at my face and his eyes calmed to a velvet light sea...I shook my head lightly.

"Everyone makes mistakes..." I said, my voice wavering with nerves.

I gulped lightly. He turned fully to me and hesitantly let go of my waist. He gave Madame Fay one last glare then left, dropping a letter in the ground in his awake as he seemed to vanish within thin air in front of us all. Everyone stayed silent as I picked up the letter. It had Madame's name on it so I gave it to her. She tore it open, her face white with a red hand mark across her pale cheek. She read it silently to herself and somehow paled even more. She dropped it in her hurry to leave the stage, taking off in a run. I quickly picked up the letter and read it to see what had spooked her even more.

Dear, Madame Fay

Do not be so crude you old hag. I will hang you with my Punjab if you hurt the delicate flower again! She has done nothing wrong and she has been singing like an angel from heaven! One more rude comment from you and you are 6 feet under.

Grimly,

O.G.
