☠️POSChap10: Angel☠️

(First Person POV)

"An angel of music?" I asked Christine. Christine nodded with a smile. She has told me about her father and her tutor. Her angel of music sounds like a fairytale of wonder!

"He has a beautiful voice! Maybe he might sing to you too!" Christine took my hands. I gazed up at her with excited eyes.

"I hope so! I need work on my singing." I said sheepishly. Christine shook her head.

"Nonsense, you're voice is wonderful!" Christine grinned. I nodded. We went to my new room. Being a new chorus girl was going to be hard, so as I've heard from Madame Giry. Christine helped me unpack then she left to go to rehearsals. I had arrived in the middle of their rehearsal for a Opera. I couldn't perform yet.

I had never told anyone but I was born with white fluffy wings. My mother and father said I was given to them by god and that I was an angel. I had always wanted to meet another angel, so when I heard of this so called Angel of Music I tried to search for him. Christine said he was bellow the beautiful Opera Populaire. I quickly went down to the chamber where Christine has showed me where she prayed for her father and lit candles for him. The room below was mostly dark for it was soon sun down. I unfurled my wings and spread them comfortably.

"Hello? Angel of Music? Christine has told me that you are an angel. I wanted to see if you have wings like mine." I called into the dark. There was no response.

"...hmm maybe he only shows for Christine." I reasoned and turned to leave but then I felt something land on my head. I reached up and took a black feather out of my hair. It was soft and slick.

"Wow..." it was too big to be a crow's or a Raven's. I plucked one of my feathers from my wings and compared the two feathers. I smiled, the black one was a little bit longer than mine. I dropped the white feather and left with the black one. I'll check tomorrow if the angel took the white feather. I quickly went upstairs and back into my room. Christine and Meg came to my door, I put the black feather into my hair as a beauty piece of the angel.

"Come! It's time for supper!" Meg shined her white teeth. I made sure to hide my wings before coming upstairs so I was safe. Christine looked at the feather in my hair behind my ear.

"Where did you get that black feather?" Christine asked, pointing at it. Meg looked at the feather as well.

"I found it outside! It's very pretty" I smiled. Christine nodded and Meg and her took me down to supper.

After Supper, we had a bit of free time. Christine and Meg left to go shopping, they invited me but I was too tired to join them. They left and I retired early as to wake up refreshed to check the white feather. I was excited to see an angel like me...especially one of Music!

{Next Morning}

I woke up bright and early. So early that the sun was barely peeking out. The sky was a shy blue as I ran down to the chamber. The room was more brighter this time. The feather was gone! There in it's stead was a envelope with a skull seal. I picked it up and it had my name on it. I opened it with a smile and took out the letter. It had fancy curved writing within it:

Dear Angel,

You are welcomed to my Opera House. I hope you enjoy your stay. And might I say, you have beautiful wings.

Always yours,
O.G.

My smile grew and I put the letter back into the envelope carefully. I took it upstairs and tucked it away safely at the bottom of my chest.

{6 Months later}

"Angel." He called to me, using the nickname he gave me. He has been teaching both me and Christine separately. The Angel of Music. He had shown himself to me before but he never came too close or revealed his angel wings. I asked to see them before, but he said no instantly and got mad.

"Yes, Erik?" I responded quickly and went to the mirror with a smile. He opened the mirror and stepped out! He was so close to me I almost panicked, during the months I had developed very strong feelings for Erik...

"Come with me." He said and put out his gloved hand. I took it eagerly, I trusted Erik deeply and I couldn't get rid of the smile on my face. He led me through the mirror and down a long passage way, it was all very dramatic like he was! He went across a lake using a boat, he towed as I sat among cushions. We got to a beautiful island! It was well lit and magical looking! Straight out of a story book. He helped me onto shore and out of the boat. He took me to a couch and we sat next to each other. He was so close! I hoped my blush wasn't too noticeable...

"You always ask to see my wings." Erik started. I squealed and nodded.

"Well I will show you. But open yours first." He said. I nodded quickly and opened my wings behind me. He stood from the couch and stood in front of me instead. He closed his eyes and opened his large-black wings? His wings were larger and black. Mine were smaller and white. He then moved his hands to his mask! I had never bothered him about it because Christine warned me that he was sensitive! He slipped his mask off and then his black, slick braced hair wig! A wig! I stared, he was beautiful. He was an angel.

"I'm not an actual angel like you are. I'm a demon." He said with a shaky voice. I saw tears start to run down his cheeks, he kept his eyes glued shut. My eyebrows furrowed and I frowned. I stood quickly and hugged him, making him drop his mask. He opened his eyes and looked down at me with surprised eyes.

"Don't you find me repulsive? I'm a monster! I belong in hell." Erik was filled with self hatred. I shook my head as I held him tightly. He started to break down and we fell to our knees. He sobbed into my shoulder. I patted his back soothingly. I brushed his wings with my fingers. His wings were soft and beautiful for black.

"Erik, you are handsome and perfect to me! Even Lucifer was once an angel." I said and kissed the top of his head, the whisps of his blonde hair tickled my face. I pulled him back enough to look at his face fully. He closed his eyes in a flinch as I stared at his face. His flesh on the side of his face was mangled, it was pink and puffy. His lip was swollen his eye was held closed as more tears ran down his face. I wiped his tears away gently with my sleeve.

"Erik, look at me." I ordered gently. He slowly opened his blue eyes and looked into my eyes. I ran my hand over the one side of his face. I didn't know how to call it, it's not a deformity...something that wouldn't hurt him.

"I thought you would scream and run away from me..." Erik said a little above a whisper. I kept running my hand on his face, it felt nice...his skin was warm and it was adorable the way he looked. I didn't even care if he thought he was ugly. To me he was an angel.

"I don't find you ugly. I find you attractive and cute and handsome and-"

"Why?"

"Why what, Erik?" My thumb rubbed his cheek soothingly, I held his face to look up at me.

"Why did you not run away?" He asked.

"What a silly question." I kissed him then separated reluctantly, "because I love you."

"...I..." he was speechless. I smiled and kissed him again, this time longer.
