"HEY!" Whizzer smiled as Marvin walked in to see him for his daily check up. "The doctors said I can go home tomorrow! I can't wait to see Jason again! It feels like it has been years - oh and Trina. I can't wait to get out of this hospital gown thingie!" Whizzer ranted while Marvin stood at the side of the bed holding his hand.
"Whizzer, deep breaths," Marvin warned him, he didn't want Whizzer to pass out form excitement then had to be held back another day for examination. "I have something to tell you," Marvin looked down at the intertwined hands. Would Whizzer stop loving him if he found out about him being kicked out?
"Yeah?" Whizzers smile faltered, greatly. Then his face darkened. "Oh my gosh, I knew it!" Marvin was confused by Whizzers outburst of conversation. "I mean it crossed my mind but I never thought it would actually happen!" Whizzer looked near tears. Marvin hung his head, had he messed up that greatly? Even ill Whizzer could see his flaws.
"I'm sorry! I just thought it would be better this way - a-and it would be easier for us," Marvin watched as Whizzer slowly moved his hand away.
"YOUR DUMPING ME FOR MENDEL!" Whizzer announced, "I mean I figured he keeps showing up here with you, and I heard him talking about "our new house arrangements?", your leaving me for MENDEL?!"
Marvin bit his lip, what happened? Why did everything get messed up whenever he tried to do the right thing? Follow his heart, dump Trina. Be a good father and lover, invite Whizzer into Jason's life. Whizzer sighed, folding his arms, which he could now do thanks to the removal of the IV just days ago. He had been so happy. Now he was just depressed, maybe he could stay in the hospital for a few more days, where else would he go?
"N-No! I mean - I needed somewhere to stay after Trina kicked me out and I packed all of your things a-and I didn't want to tell you, I was scared!" Marvin batted tears away. "I'm NOT dating Mendel, I love you!" Marvin gasped choking on air, he coughed until he could breath again.
"Really? So why didn't you tell me?" Whizzer frowned. "Aren't people supposed to tell the truth in relationships?"
"I-I was scared you wouldn't love me anymore-" was that the truth? Was Marvin afraid of actually living with just Whizzer? What if Whizzer got sick of him and left him?
"Oh, Marvin, I'll always love you, hospitalized or not," Whizzer smiled, "I just want to know one thing-"
"What?"
"Did I get the good luggage?"

The day Whizzer got to come home was the best day ever. Next to the day Marvin actually met Whizzer. But this was up there. Marvin in the past few days did a bit of research, and found a cheap apartment in a good area, but to pay for it Mendel had to move in as well. Marvin, after talking it over with Whizzer, thought it was the best way to go. If Mendel lived in that mess of a house any longer, he was going to go berserk.
And what were friends for? Helping other friends out. Marvin couldn't clean up Mendel's messes anymore. Which was another part of the deal - keep your messes in your own room! The apartment had two bathrooms, two levels, three bedrooms, a kitchen area that connected to a living room area and an office for when Mendel needed to work from home.
It was cozy, and nice and the bathroom had little ducks engraved in the tiles - a bonus!
"Marvin! Guess what!" Whizzer ran from the office room, where he was chatting with Mendel to the living room where he was watching a game by himself. It was a Thursday, and he wouldn't be able to watch any games this weekend with Jason because the forecast said it was going to rain where the ball games were held. Whizzer pounced on the couch smiling.
"Yes?" Marvin saw from behind Whizzer Mendel walked up happily. It must have been a good work day. Mendel liked to sit in the office when he had free time to work on clients at home, the written part. Marvin made him promise not to bring actual clients into the house.
"Mendel gave me a job!" Whizzer beamed bouncing up and down on the couch, "I'm his new assistant coffee guy!"
"See?" Marvin smiled, "I knew you could get a job if you tried hard enough," Marvin was engulfed in a hug, and he looked to Mendel mouthing 'thank you' in his direction. Mendel smiled, walking back to his office he was only staying for the big reveal.
"I bring the coffee from the kitchen - or from a coffee shop if I get to - and give it to him!" Whizzer beamed pulling back from the hug and looking at the TV. Mendel noticed that Whizzer was wearing Marvin's jacket again. He didn't mind, it looked better on Whizzer anyways.
"Do you get paid?"
"Nope!" Whizzer smiled, "it's all volunteer work!" Marvin looked back to the TV where the pitcher had caught the ball on the screen the fans going wild.
Ah, so there was the catch.
