Marvin came home late after a long day of work. He hoped Whizzer could be fine with leftover Chinese because Marvin's day at work was draining. The second he opened the door he heard the answering machine going off like it was a stage light at a rock concert. It was all calls from Whizzers cell. Marvin listened to the voicemail. He jumped back expecting to hear Whizzers voice when he hears a high pitched feminine voice.

"This is the Roseville Hospital calling on behalf of Whizzer - who is in the hospital and could use some family or friends at the moment. This was his first number on speed dial. Whizzers not doing good," Marvin didn't even bother to do anything else he just grabbed his keys and sprinted to his car. Driving as fast as he could to the hospital.

" Still no one?" the nurse turned to the office assistant who shook her head sadly. "Dang, I hope that someone comes for him, he could really use a family member or someone here for his surgery," the nurse sighed, eyes widening when a male in work attire burst through the front doors of the hospital, he was panting and sweaty and his eyes looked puffy. Like he had been crying.

"DOCTOR!" he screamed throwing himself at the office desk. The doctor looked up with wide eyes, "Where is he?!" the man screamed, "where is my boyfriend?!?" he was getting kind of emotional, he had to take sharp breaths like he had run a mile. People sitting chairs away - in what looked like a waiting room - where glaring and looking sadly over at him.

"Name?" the office assistant said without emotion.

"Whizzer Brown! Let him know whenever you get the chance that Marvin is here for him," he panted, the nurse looked blankly at him and sighed.

"Oh thank god, I thought nobody would come for that man, he's in surgery, he was really bad when he first came here," the women shook her head. The guy, who declared was Whizzers boyfriend turned to her. He stood up straighter and looked at her dead in the eye.

"Will he be ok?" he shivered.

"If nothing goes wrong in surgery I'd say he had about a fifty percent chance of survival," the nurse held out her hand pointing to the chairs across the room, "why don't you sit down and wait out the surgery when we can come back with more news?" she smiled widely, like this wasn't a big deal.

"Ha," Marvin snorted, "no thanks, I'd rather stand," he held his nose in the air, "just let me know when I can see him, or if you have ANY news whatsoever," the nurse nodded and told him to wait out the surgery which could take any time from 1-4 hours long. The whole time Marvin's stomach was in knots. He eventually made his way over to the waiting room which had about five people in chairs. They were all wrapped up in their own worlds to notice when Marvin sat down.

Marvin spent half of his time making sure he didn't burst into tears in front of all of these strangers. He couldn't live with himself if Whizzer died, was that even a possibility right now? What if fifty percent wasn't enough? What if he had to go and leave Whizzer behind? He couldn't live with just Trina and Jason! He needed his boyfriend there. After about two hours of silently worrying a different nurse walked up to him. Marvin jumped up.

"Charlotte!" he cried when he saw his friend, he was engulfed into a hug. Dr.Charlotte had been friends with him since he could ever remember. Her wife had always a new cuisine to try and eat with dinner whenever Whizzer and himself went over for dinner. He had to bite his lip to keep from bursting into tears, what if there was no more dinners with the four of them?

"Oh Marvin, he's going to be ok, he just got out of surgery now," Charlotte smiled when Marvin took a big sigh of relief.

"What even happened that he had to come here?" Marvin was afraid to even ask, it hadn't even slipped his mind until it had come out of his mouth. Charlotte swallowed.

"He got into a car accident and totaled his car. Some pedestrian called 911 for him and he got in around 9am. I just started my shift about an hour ago and hear about some poor man who crashed his car. I had no idea that it was Whizzer," she laughed, and Marvin couldn't help but laugh with her. Whizzer was always the one person in the passenger seat who would always lecture the driver about safe driving, it was ironic how the one time he drove he would be that guy.

"Wait - did you say he came here at 9am? As in the morning?" Marvin looked frantically down at his watch it was around 6pm. "So he's been here all day? By himself?" Marvin felt his heart nearly stop. Whizzer all alone for a whole day in a hospital? What kind of boyfriend was he?

"Oh, Marv, even if you got here before he crashed you wouldn't be able to see him. He had to go to surgery the second he got here," Charlotte rested her hand on his shoulder,

"I promise the second he's awake you can go in and see him."
