"Sorry I'm late,"I said walking in the doctors office.
"What took you so long?"she asked.
"I overslept,"I explained.
"Whatever,"she said.
"Nervous?"I asked.
"A little,"she responded.
"You told your mom?"I asked.
"Didn't have to, she read right through me,"she laughed,"You?"
"I almost didn't make it to see another day,"I laughed with her.
"Pinkett!"we heard.
"Let's go,"Jada said grabbing my hand.
"How are you two?"the nurse asked as we entered the room.
"Pretty good and yourself?"I asked.
"I can't complain, so here's the deal,"she started,"We're going to do a quick check up first since you are young and you still have yearly check ups, then Dr. White is going to come in and check up on you and your little bundle of joy, sounds good to you guys?"
"Yes ma'am thank you,"Jada said.
"Alright, I'll be right back,"she left.
"I'm so nervous,"she explained.
"Why?" I asked.
"I don't know what if he tell us some bad news,"she said.
"Don't think like that okay, everything's going to be fine,"I responded.
"I'm back, let's get started,"The nurse said walking in.

"I'm back!"I yelled walking in the house.
"So how did everything go?"my mama asked.
"Things are looking pretty great actually,"I explained.
"That's good,"she said,"Have you talked to her parents?"
"No, why should I?"I asked.
"I believe it's important to do so,"she responded.
"I'll make sure to do that,"I assured.
"Oh and the school just called, you have a meeting tomorrow for graduation."
"Cool ma what time?"I asked.
"5 I believe, I should be off from work by then,"she said.
"Great,"I said,"Where's my brothers?"
"Outside playing I think,"she said.
"Mama! Melvin hit me!"Kevon yelled.
"No I did not,"Melvin responded.
"Yes he did ma he got mad that I whooped his butt in basketball and he punched me!"Kevon explained.
"That sounds about right,"I laughed.
"That's not what happened,"Melvin said,"He did not beat me, you won by default cause my ankle gave out and then you accidentally ran into my fist."
