A story about a young boy who's whole life has been getting what he wants. His arrogance has become his trademark and the women love him for it. Everything he touches becomes his until he meets a challenge.
Weeks later it was time to elope. I admit I was nervous as hell but very excited because I was marrying the love of my life. Luckily a few of our closest friends decided to come along with us so we wouldn't be alone, and so our parents wouldn't suspect anything more than just a simple "vacation".
It was 10:30 am when we finally made it to the Miami resort. For the little amount of money we paid for it, it was absolutely beautiful. Toni and I decided to take two separate flights and stay in two separate hotels because we're still traditional in the sense that we didn't want to see each other the day before the wedding, so I flew in the day after she did just in time. We decided to get married at around 3 pm and then we and our friends could go out to eat and have fun before the "real" fun begins later on in the night.
"You excited my boy?"Anthony asked.
"More like nervous, anxious if you will."
"Don't get scared now nigga, you wanted to grow up so fast and do grown up shit, soooo ain't no backing out now."
"It's the beginning of a new chapter with the woman of your dreams, I'm proud of you."
"Thanks bro that means a lot,"I said hugging him.
"I'm happy for you too bro,"Darryl chimed in.
"Thanks bro."
"You ready? It's 2:20 something, so we better head on out before Toni kick your ass for being late."
"You right, let's go."
We all hurried out of the hotel making sure not to leave any important things behind. We have 40 minutes to make it to the beach that Toni wanted to elope at and I want to make it on time. Luckily, it's not too far from the hotel. We caught an Uber and within 30 minutes we made it at 2:57.
"Come on y'all we got to hurry up,"I jogged, "Somebody call and ask where they're at."
"They're over there,"Darryl yelled spotting them.
We sped walked to the wedding set up and there was this man standing there beside Toni's friends. I believe he had to have been the one Toni chose to officiate everything.
"Hey, how you doing?"I asked shaking his hand, "I'm Kenny nice to meet you."
"Rev. Brown, likewise."
"This set up is really nice huh?"I asked looking around not realizing I was shaking.

"It's okay son, you're still pretty young I get it."
"Yes, but I'm excited to be you know marrying the love of my life."
"That's wonderful and I pray God bless the both of you with many many years of unity."
