This chapter is not as interesting. This is going to be my filler chapter. Enjoy.
****It had taken a while but Elise had finally managed to sleep. And once she started sleeping it was hard to awaken. Linette found this out after endlessly shaking Elise to wake her.
"Five more minutes." Elise mumbled
Linette groaned "we don't have five more minutes. If I don't get to eat breakfast because of you I'm eating you meals for the next 3 weeks."
Elise didn't hear much of what Linette had said but felt a tugging that brought her back into the real world. Linette's face was the first thing she saw and if she wasn't mistaken the petite woman looked a bit annoyed. Confusion plastered across Elise's face, Linnette huffed moaning about how breakfast was nearly over.
The two women dressed quickly and darted down the stairs.
Derek watched amused as a dishevelled Elise padded her way to an empty seat on the vampiric side of the table and sat down in James' seat. Irritation crossed Amelia's face who glared at an unknowing Elise as though it would force the red head to move. One look from Hague had the Vampiress turning back to her pet. In fact Elise started eating. She paid no attention to anyone, even ignored Chasity that sat awkwardly on his thighs after last nights event. Derek wandered just how much sleep the young one had gotten before he looked back at his female forgetting about the red head.
"Elisha you can't be that much of an idiot. You do realize you are on the wrong side of the table"
Regina pipped up from somewhere. Elise dismissed the blatant rudeness of the incorrect name and threw the girl a finger.Once she'd finished eating, Elise excused herself and began today's undercover work.
She started of by walking left from the dining room ignoring Linette and Chasity calling her name. The manor was bigger than Elise had realized. She'd passed doors after doors each either a bedroom or a games room. She'd finally paused when she'd found a library on the first floor of the manor
Honestly she had never seen anything as beautiful. It was like a cut from a movie. Those huge library's with the golden spiraling stairs that ran for miles. The king being the king must have had every single book ever to be written right here in his library. At first she wondered around. Big as it was, she pondered on how she'd find something when the choice was endless.
She felt a presence behind her and turned to greet them. The Dimitri couple stood arm in arm behind her smiling. Yesterday's event came rushing back to her and she took a small step back.
Raven and Vladimir looked at each other and Elise wondered whether the pair could communicate to one another which created a string of thoughts about whether all vampires could do the same. Raven was the first one to look back at Elise before she stepped out of Vladimir's hold and walked towards Elise. Unknowingly Elise took steps back from the female before her back met a hard wall.
Up close, Raven was beautiful. Her name juxtaposed her light complexion . Elise just about towered over the petite white haired female. Raven traced Elise's jaw line up to her temple and added a slight pressure. Elise reached out grab the vampires hand but was overcome by and unbearable pain pulsing in her brain. Raven held the same intense look she'd maintained since yesterday as she tried to open a connection between the human and her. She'd honestly never tried to open a pathway with a human before and wasn't really clear on the consequences.
Elise clung to her head begging the pain to subside but it only grew. Her eyes began seeing stars and but she pushed through the pain and was relived when it came to a sudden halt.
Raven dropped her hands and moved back to Vladimir.
"I'm sure the pain has subsided now miss Dumont."
Elise stared them dumbfounded before looking around for the source if the voice.
"we are in your head Miss Dumont." Vladimir said
Elise looked up at the Dimitris. "but Hague said you cannot talk..."
"do you see us talking?" Vladimir's grin and His eyebrow lifted.
"We communicate through thought. And we only allow a special few to hear us." raven followed up.
"To be honest you are the first human we tried this with. The possibility of you dying was quite high." Vladimir shrugged.
"You're in my head." Elise stated
"We have already established that. I Didn't peg you for a fool." Raven said in a bored tone that didn't sit too well with Elise.
"I think I liked you better when you couldn't speak."
They stayed in silence for a while watching each other. Vladimir knew the girl was a little uncomfortable but they were used such responses and raven didn't help matters either. She was much more straightforward than he was. He had learned to deal with their nature and change to suit the more modern ways.
Finally he decided to break the ongoing silence "I have to say its really good to see you and now you see us."
Elise's looked perplexed. These two didn't really sit well with her.
Vladimir noticed before adding "in due time you will understand. You are in a library so what is it you wanted to read?"
"I'm not too sure..."
Raven smiled and looked at her mate before she walked away.
"Where is she going?" Elise asked. She still felt a bit dizzy from the whole mind talking
"To recommend you a book to read."
Elise found herself repeating the notion in her head much to Vladimir's annoyance who now shared thought with the human who hadn't learnt how to block them out yet.
Raven returned with a large book in her hand, bound and wrapped in red velvet. She walked over to Elise and handed the book to her.
"I think you'll find this to your liking miss Dumont."
Elise accepted the book and nodded. She knew her place with Raven and decided she wasn't going to argue with the fair head beauty.
She looked back at the two again who gazed into each other eyes. Amongst everything weird about them, she truly respected the love they looked like they had for each other. Hearing the compliment they donned on the same ghost like smile.
"I do hope you won't be reading my thoughts everything tkme. I do require some privacy."
"As do we Elise. In time you will learn how to shut us out but for now we won't tell you too much. In order to protect you, we must have an easy access to you."
Elise was done talking to the two, done with the weird speeches that only left more confused than she was. So she side stepped them and began to walk away.
"Oh Elise..." Raven began. Elise paused almost against her will. "I'd be careful if I were you. There are just some things you don't understand and running into things head first will only kill you. I do like a feast but i'd hate to make you dinner. Oui?"
She didn't know how to answer that so she turned and practically ran out of the library.
Vladimir pulled Raven into him wishing she didn't scare the young girl so. But it was a fair warning and Vladimir wondered whether she'd listen. Knowing Elise, he highly doubted it.
