The picture of the woman in black and white reminded Elise of someone. She was on the page about a woman by the name of Valerie Monet. She traced the woman's sharp features with her index finger marlveling in her unique beauty. The woman looked exactly like the portrait Elise had seen during her first trails in the hall, infact they had to be the same Elise concluded. She wondered why Vincent had a portrait of female I'm book about reincarnations.

The book had illustrated that Valerie Monet was the first of her forms. She had lived a catholic life despite being the daughter of a known witch by the name of lizainna Monet. Some said Lizainna created the child from magic because no father was ever mentioned.

Lizainna had been condemned to be nailed and staked on cross as a penalty for her practises by King Leonard Ashcroft.

Elise stopped reading, letting this new price of information sink in. Was Leonard Ashcroft Vincents Ancestor. Yet it didn't explain why Vincent had the picture of the daughter to the wen his ancestor had killed.

Nailed to the cross, Lizainna cursed the King with immortality, to an animal destined to be shunned like she was. she bound the King's loyal supporters with the same punishment in the hopes that they all abandoned the king for bestowing this punishment upon them. She bound her daughter who stood by and watched her mothers penalty with leonard, granting her the fate of being Leonard's beloved only to die when she realized her love for him.

This was to Leonard's punishment until the end of time. He would find love only to lose it, rebuild his heart only to have it continuously shattered.

Every century Valerie would be reborn
Every century the king would feel the call to mate her

A cough beside her pulled Elise out from the depths of the book. She looked up at Selene and raised a questioning eyebrow annoyed at the interruption.

Selene was very quiet and didnt speak unless spoken to. She followed Vincent's order diligently never questioning her king. So she stood in front of the red head and informed Ber that the king said she must attend the Media screening with the other 4 women and waited until Elise grew tired of her hard gaze and followed her out of the library to her room where a make up artist secretly struggling with Linette's tough kinky hair. Linette who remained oblivious, shrieked at Elise rambling on about the outfit Thain from the New York district had bought for her.

"Are you here for the King's heart or Thain?" Elise laughed jokingly

But Linette replied seriously "well if I don't win I need a back Up lise. I'm not walking away empty handed."

Elise shook her head and waited for her Turn. The hair dresser had really done wonders with Linette. She didn't want to allow herself any excitement but she played herself when it begun to seep through, she had always loved makeovers, it was one girl thing she could endure.

A knock sounded on the Door which Linette got up and answered. Alexander stood in a velvet navy blue tuxe look delightful. He smiled at the curled in Elise's hair picturing the finished look in his head.

"I just wanted to see how you're doing."

Elise shrugged "I'm good." She hadn't meant to avoid Alex after he had rescued her but she'd really been avoiding everyone. She hoped he didnt take it offence. Nevertheless, she didnt care to explain her actions.

"You're going To do well today," he turned to Linette remembering she was in the room "you too darling. You look ready to eat."

Linette winked and smiled coyly. "I'm sorry I'm saving myself."

"For the king I hope." Alex laughed

Linette suddenly found her nails interesting leaving Alex in the dark about who exactly she was waiting for. Of course Elise knew.
