3rd P.O.V
Peter sat next to Raven, listening intently to what was being said by Professor Xavier. His lips were turned in a frown as Raven was sat in shock.
"She just... Took off?" She had asked, her voice cracking. "Charles, what happened down there?"
"Apparently..." Charles sighed, his hand running over his face. Peter watched the man sadly, knowing that this was anything but easy for him. "The Enchantress took over."
"What's The Enchantress?" Peter asked, his eyebrow raising.
"It was a-..." Raven smiled sadly at the memory before her frown returned. "It was the codename we came up with for her when we were recruited." Her mind went back to Sean, or as they decided to call him, Banshee. He died too young, she thought.
"So... That means....?" Peter dragged out, confused with all this new information.
"Beth is a powerful Mutant... Very powerful." Charles began, his eyes meeting the silver haired boy. "Apparently most of that power belongs to whatever is inside her. It was born the day she avenged her family. And it grew stronger the day that she died."
"But she isn't dead, Charles." Raven said with a sad tone. "She was here... She was Beth."
Charles shook his head, his eyes closing for a moment. "I don't know, Raven." He sighed again. "I'm just telling you what she told me."
"Wait, she talked to you? When?" Peter piped up after going silent for a while.
"Right before she woke up... She reached out to me." Charles informed.
"And you didn't tell anyone?" Raven asked in disbelief. "Charles, I thought you were supposed to be smart!"
Before anyone else could say anything else, Scott limped into the room, Jean hanging on his shoulder with a pained expression. Peter stood, taking the red head into his arms and bringing her to the couch in a blur. "I found her by the front door, she was unconscious I don't-"
"Thank you, Scott." Charles interrupted, a forced smile appearing on his tired face. The Summers boy nodded and sat on the floor with his back leaning on the wall.
"She's gone. I couldn't stop her." Jean whispered, tears forming in her eyes as she looked up at the ceiling above.
Raven shook her head. "Jean it's alrig-"
"It's not!" Jean interrupted the shapeshifter, her eyes glaring into Raven's. "I let my guard down and now she's out there where she can harm someone."
The room went silent, a familiar feeling over the past week.
"Can't one of you try to get into her head?" Peter asked quietly.
The father and daughter exchanged a look before Charles shook his head. "It's too dangerous." He warned.
"I'm not just going to give up." Jean fought back, sitting up with a grunt.
"No, you've already been hurt by her, you can't." He continued.
"Someone has to try something!" Scott interrupted, his teeth clenching. "You two bickering isn't going to solve anything."
Charles scoffed, rolling his eyes before he sighed with a nod. "You're right. Jean?"
The girl nodded in return, her index and middle finger going to her temple.
"Doesn't she need Cerebro?" Peter's eyebrows knit together as the words came out of his mouth.
"You'd be amazed at how powerful Beth is right now." Charles spoke.
A silence fell for a moment before it was broken by Jean hissing in pain, her eyes closing tightly as she grabbed her head with her hands. She began to breath heavy, her eyes opening slowly to reveal golden irises. Jean gasped for air when she lost the connect, her hands falling to her sides. "She-..." She looked back up, her eyes back to their normal blue color. "I know where she is."
"And?" Raven pushed.
"We're gonna need Erik and Riley." Jean finished before leaving the room.
A/N: This chapter is literal garbage.
