Beth was sprawled on the ground, her hair fanning out underneath her. She was currently staring at the ceiling, ignoring all of the pain in her head. She felt like she was burning away from the inside and it was only getting worse as the time passed. The door blew open, a red beam following it across the room, making her turn her head towards the destruction.

Beth chuckled when she saw the group of people walk in, turning her whole body to look at them. Tears fell from her eyes as she chuckled, her lips turning into a toothy grin. "You're too late." She cried as she continued her laughing. Beth sat up, making her hair fall away from her face, revealing the cuts and bruises.

"Beth, what-"

The woman was quick to stand which caused the group of mutants to flinch. "I don't know. I was just walking and minding my own business." Her eyes roamed over the group of seven, stopping on the brunette. "Oh good you brought my best friend, Riley." Beth joked, her eyes narrowing in anger. "Anyways, I bumped into this couple who were too distracted about what kind of bread they would get for there son's sandwich tomorrow... They wouldn't move and... Well. They won't need their bread where they are now." She shook her head, her eyes rolling. "Why don't you people ever just listen?!" She screamed, pushing the people away from her with a wave of purple. "I told you to stay away!" Everything in the room began to shake, Beth standing in the middle of it all unharmed. "I didn't want to hurt you." Her voice became sad, her eyes continuing to spill tears. "But you just kept pushing!" She shouted, beginning to fall to her knees, the window behind her breaking in the process.

"Beth... Beth, calm down." Erik tried, beginning to get closer.

Beth kept her gaze on the ground while she raised her hand to stop the metal manipulator mid stride, keeping him there for a moment. "I've tried, Erik." She whispered, the sound barely audible through all the furniture banging the walls and floors. "You of all people should understand that." She continued, her eyes now rising to meet his. "Remember Magda? Nina?" Beth hissed out. "You tried... You tried to be normal... Well look what that got you." She scoffed. "A dead wife and kid, a new wife and kid that isn't even your own." She dropped her hold on the man, her hand falling back to the floor next to her knee.

"Beth, enough!" Charles shouted. "You have to calm your mind... You have to stop this."

"I don't have to do shit." She spat in return. She stood again, walking over to Erik. "But he does..." Beth said quietly, her heart beginning to beat even faster.

"Why would he do anything for you after what you just said to him?" Riley asked, sinking through the floor before appearing behind Beth, her arms wrapping around her neck. "Sorry, but this is going to hurt." She warned, bringing her into the floor after. Riley resurfaced, finding her spot next to her husband. "I'm actually not that sorry."

The house they were in began to shake, knocking things off of walls and tables. Before anyone could react, Beth's hand shot through the floor and grabbed Riley's ankle, pulling her back through the hardwood with a loud cracking noise.

Riley shot back out,  flying through the air before hitting the wall with a thud, a trail of purple energy following.

Beth emerged from the ground, a scowl on her face as she landed back on her feet. She went to finish the woman off, but got distracted as she stopped Peter from punching her from just a few inches away from her face.

"Sorry...?" Peter tried, swallowing hard in fear, looking at his fist covered in the purple energy.

Beth clenched her teeth, her eyes going purple. She used her powers to twist his arm behind him violently, a scream passing his lips as she did so.
