Chapter 4

I think...everyone needs some form of love. Whether it's parental, sibling, friendship or romantic. That should include the Overlord, no? Through his memories, there is one person who showed him love, maybe two. This woman didn't stand out..just another person you see walking down the street. Yet, for some reason, the Overlord decided to talk to her. As clique as it sounds, they fell in love, and the woman accepted him for being who he is. He had forgotten the feeling of being loved...maybe that's what causes hatred and evil to grow inside people, because they forgot what it's like to be loved.

I think that's why my feet led me to Acheron...and why I'm standing in front of him right now. I don't want my grandfather to feel lonely...I want to show him some love. Maybe the kind of relationship between grandfather and granddaughter...but could that ever happen between me and the Overlord?

Little did Sophie realize...that she's losing control of herself.

These times the Overlord spent with his brother...they must really love each other, you know, like brothers. Maybe it wouldn't be bad to let him spend some time with Acheron?

What's this?

I-I'm being locked up?! Why?! Stop! This hurts!

"You gave up a little too easily," Acheron stares into the now, red eyes of Sophie. "That was the other me. Now you can get your face outta mine," Sophie pushes his head back. "Whatever. Just let me talk to the Overlord," Acheron replies.

Sophie's face changes from her skin color, to a solid black. "Acheron." The Overlord states. "Overlord." Acheron states.
"What is wrong with you?! You went ahead and made your presence known! Now those irritating ninja know you exist!" The Overlord scolds. "It looks weird hearing you say that from a girl's body," Acheron replies calmly. "Forget that! What made you think it was okay to let yourself be known?! Answer me!"

"Do you know how lonely I've been?! Ever since you left me!"

The Overlord's face softens, sadness showing in his eyes. "I'm sorry...it was the only way I could protect you..."

"Why didn't you stay with me?!"

"Because they already knew of my existence..it was too late for me, but it wasn't for you."

"I-I've been so alone...was that supposed to make me happy?!"

"I just wanted to keep you out of harm's way! I wanted to keep you safe...is that too much to ask for?! Yet you went ahead and made yourself known! Now I can't protect you!"

Silence fell over the dark room.

"I've missed you...brother...I made myself known because I wanted to avenge you....I hated the fact that they attacked you, that they took you away from me," Acheron hugs the Overlord. Who hugs him back, tears dotting both of their eyes.

Oh the poor guys...I'm so sorry they separated you....

Both of them were running, the pure darkness, and the human darkness. The rain was covering up their tracks, throwing off their enemies. "Brother, where are we going?" The human asked, looking up at his brother. The child looked scared. "Don't you worry. You'll be fine," the brother reassures his younger brother. "What about you?" The human questioned. That's when the brother took the human into a cave. "What's going on?" The human trembles. He felt scared, tired and worried. Something hits his brother and he screams. The human covers his mouth, tears falling fast. "Stay here.....this cave will keep you safe... please, don't move until everyone's gone," the brother pleads. "Where are you going? Don't leave me!" The human cries. "I'm sorry Acheron, but always remember...the times we spent together," the brother smiles softly. "Don't leave!" The human cries again. "Goodbye Acheron...I love you little brother," the Overlord hugs him. "Don't...go," the human hugs his brother back. The Overlord squeezes Acheron's hands reassuringly. "I love you too, big brother," Acheron said in a soft voice. And with that, the Overlord was gone.

I'm crying...it's one thing to hear the story..but to see it. I can't even imagine how that must've felt.

"As long as alter ego is around, everything will be fine," the Overlord notes. "You've got a point. Now, we have to catch up, no?" Acheron smiles. The Overlord smiles back.

"Sophie's gone!" Nya tells Wu and Misako. "Gone?" They both question at the same time. Looking worried, Nya nods her head 'yes'. "All of you ninja stay here. Me and Misako will check the situation," Wu instructs. "Can't I help? I'm worried about Sophie! What if something happened to her?" Nya tries to steady herself. "Try to get ahold of yourself Nya, we'll handle it from here," Misako puts a hand on her shoulder. Wanting to trust them, Nya silently nods. Then walks away.

Jay decided to go and comfort Nya. While Kai decided it was best to keep an eye on what Sensei and Misako were doing. Lloyd is helping him with that. Zane decides to take the duty of cooking, with help from Cole. Thinking about all the different possibilities of what could happen, Zane ends up stress cooking. Making multiple dishes, as Cole tried to keep them in check. "Dude you're making too many! We only need one for dinner!" Cole mumbles through a mouthful of spaghetti. "I can not help it. It is keeping me calm," Zane replies, giving Cole two more dishes.

The all-too-familiar red light shines throughout the dojo, leading everyone to go to the Bounty.

"What's our situation?" Kai asks. "It's that Acheron guy again," Nya answers. "Well, let's go," Lloyd motions towards the sky. "Truth be told...it's a possibility that Sophie is there," Zane concludes. "Is that supposed to be good? Or bad?" Jay questions. "Let's worry about that when we get there," Cole suggests. And with that, they were off.

A huge cloud of smoke blocks the ninja's view. Diving down, they land near a shadow. The smoke clears to revel Acheron. "About time you showed up," a familiar voice says. "That's not his voice..." Nya's voice trails off. "Of course it's not mine..it's my great niece," Acheron points next to him. The ninja's eyes widen.
