Chapter 20

One month later....

Sophie wakes up to someone shaking her arm.

"Sophie get up!" Sophie looks up to see Misako's worried gaze.

"What's wrong?" Sophie jolts into a sitting position, then her eyes closely close.

"Acheron! Ninja! Trouble!" Misako motions Sophie to follow her. Not completely sure of what was going on, Sophie follows sleepily.

They reach the bridge and see Wu standing there as well, pacing and pressing buttons. Pixal is there as well, trying to find a way to communicate.

"I have no idea what they are in! It's blocking everything.." Pixal groans. "I should just go in."

"How did this happen?" Sophie's eyes widen at the screen. In it the ninja are stuck in some sort of bubble with Acheron standing guard.

"Pixal we don't know what's going on.." Misako's voice trails off as she looks at the screen.

"The ninja somehow managed to get Acheron to show up but then...he took the upper hand and now has them in some sort of bubble," Misako explains.

"Then we've gotta help them!" Sophie starts to worry, she goes closer to the screen.

"Do you have any idea as to what that might be?" Pixal asks with a heavy sigh.

"I really don't know..." Sophie then starts to talk to herself, "maybe some sort of containment thing but it has a force field thing that's made from power or something."

"Pixal, if you're going to go in then take Skylor with you. Or the other Elemental Masters," Wu instructs.

"We have no idea where they are now. It's not worth it. Besides we don't know how much time we have," Misako points out.

"He's talking!" Pixal points the screen. Everyone turn their heads as Pixal turns the volume up in order to hear.

"Sophie you bring yourself here. You and you only preferably. If you bring anyone else along with you then well," Acheron shrugs. "I'll just put them into this bubble as well."

"He's beyond cocky," Pixal shakes her head. "I'm still going, and I'll take Skylor as well."

"Wait. Acheron may be cocky but it comes from somewhere. He will have you both in that bubble too.." Wu paces again.

"That was obvious from the start. We've got to go now and defeat him," Misako reminds them.

"I'm all healed up," Sophie looks over herself. "I'll go, I know what needs to be done and it'll for sure work."

"I don't know.." Wu and Misako say at the same time, looking very unsure.

"By my calculations, there's a fifty, fifty shot at this working," Pixal states. "But we should go too."

"Sensei can't you come too? There's no way he could beat you," Sophie looks at Wu.

"I can't believe that slipped past my mind," Wu's eyes widen in surprise.

"Oh gosh we've been so stupid," Misako face palms.

All of a sudden, Wu takes a knee, his breathing becoming more heavy. Misako rushes over to him only to start feeling dizzy and hold onto the control panel.

"What's going on?!" Sophie cries out as she runs over to Wu and Misako. Pixal follows her but then completely shuts down, her body almost hitting the floor when Sophie catches her. "Pixal!" Sophie cries out.

"I wonder if it's working.." Acheron's voice comes from outside the Bounty. Sophie lays Pixal onto the ground.

"Hurry Sophie," Wu glances up at Sophie. Looking determined, Sophie nods in their direction and turns on her heel.
