Chapter 18

"Finally!" Lloyd looks relieved to see the hospital. He goes in, followed by the ninja behind him.

They walk into the room and see Skylor and Sophie.

"Oh my god what did they do to you?" Nya gasps.

"Are you Okay?" Lloyd asks.

"It doesn't hurt a lot right?" Kai adds.

"Are you gonna be okay?" Cole questions.

"How badly broken are the bones? What kind of treatment was used?" Zane asks out of curiosity.

"I'm just glad you're alright. You feel any better?" Jay adds in as well, thinking that Sophie might be a little overwhelmed with all the questions.

"I'm fine..thanks...my bones aren't that broken and I should be out in a day. The casts will still be there though," Sophie answers. She smiles at them warmly.

"I missed all of you so much," Sophie starts to tear up.

The ninja all go in for a group hug, with Sophie starting to full on cry now.

"I'm so sorry for what I did as Alter...oh I really missed being around you guys," Sophie cries through a smile.

"Guys give her some air," Skylor smiles. The ninja all back away, smiles on all of their faces.

"I-I'm just so happy.." Sophie sniffs and then tries to wipe her tears.

"Here I got them," Cole offers as he wipes Sophie's tears away.

"I'm so glad you're alive..!" Lloyd starts to tear up as well and hugs Sophie again.

"I'm really glad I didn't kill you," Sophie sighs in relief and slowly hugs Lloyd back.

"It makes me really happy to see you two cousins back together," Kai wipes away a tear.

"Kai, are you crying?" Nya chuckles.

"No I'm not!! I'm just Uh..okay I'm crying.." Kai admits and wipes another stray tear.

"Aw it's okay big bro..I'm really happy too!" Nya smiles.

"Guys this is probably the happiest thing that has happened to us ever since Acheron came around," Jay exclaims in happiness.

"I agree with everyone. I also brought some chocolate," Zane takes a bar of chocolate from his pocket and gives it to Sophie.

"Thank you so much Zane! But honestly I'm just glad to see all of you," Sophie tries to open the chocolate but it doesn't open. "Little help guys?"

"Yeah here, I'll do it," Nya takes it and opens it up. "Want me to feed you too?"

"Um...I don't think I can feed myself..." Sophie chuckles and looks at her hand that is covered in bandages. "That would be helpful."

"Haha alright," Nya laughs and puts the chocolate bar near Sophie's mouth. Sophie moves up and bites the chocolate. After chewing it Sophie laughs.

"I'm now officially a baby," Sophie jokes, making everyone else laugh too.

"It's all good for now. You don't have to worry about anything," Skylor grins.

"Haha glad to hear it," Sophie grins back and tries to sit up a little more.

"You'll hurt yourself don't do that," Jay calls out.

"You're right..man that hurt.." Sophie grumbles.

"Well let's just chill here for now and catch up," Kai suggests.

"Good idea. I like talking with you guys," Zane nods as he finds himself a place to sit on the couch.

"So Sophie, you start. What's been going on?" Jay sits down next to Zane. Nya sits down next to Skylor. Kai sits next to Jay and Lloyd sits next to Kai. Cole sits down next to Lloyd. With Cole and Lloyd being closest to Sophie.

"Well..where would I even start?" Sophie shakes her head slowly. She stopped that after it started to hurt. "Well it's really weird..it was like I was myself but then again..I wasn't. Also fighting you guys was very scary by the way. Like I thought I was gonna get my butt kicked," Sophie laughs after saying the last part.

"We were the ones who were scared! You were scary as Alter," Cole laughs while shaking his head.

"Right! I thought I was gonna get my butt handed to me," Lloyd agrees with a laugh.

"Alter was super scary Soph, glad it's now back to the normal you," Nya nods her head.

"Remind me not to get on your bad side," Jay laughs. "I don't wanna have to suffer you wrath."

"Me neither," Kai agrees.

"Sounds wise in my opinion," Zane laughs along with them.

"Glad we all agree on something," Skylor laughs along, looking at Kai, grinning.

"Also! I'm sorry if Alter said anything to you guys and it hurt you or anything else. She scares me," Sophie shudders.

"Yup we've established that already," Kai nods his head in agreement.

"Also you have nothing to apologize for," Lloyd replies.

"Yeah we know it wasn't you," Jay adds.

"So don't worry about it at all," Nya adds too.

Sophie wakes up in the middle of the night, breathing heavily. Another nightmare haunted her dreams and Sophie couldn't shake it off. She looks down at the medical bed and sees everyone sleeping.

Cole, Lloyd and Nya have their heads in the bed itself while the other pretty much leaned on their shoulders or rested their head on the others back.

Sophie smiles softly, feeling happy that she was no longer fighting against them and hurting them physically and maybe even mentally.

"I'm here with them now..it's okay," Sophie mummers to herself and then sighs. "I really hate nightmares.."

"Same here Soph."

Sophie looks over and sees Cole looking up at her with a small smile.

"Sorry for waking you!" Sophie looks worried.

"Don't worry, it's all good. Besides, you can't help it," Cole shrugs. "It's really good to have you back."

"It feels really good to be back too...I really missed reading with you Cole," Sophie wanted to hold someone's hand for comfort.

"I missed it too. I haven't read a single word from where we left off," Cole mentions, he holds the hand that had the arm in a cast.

Sophie felt the warmth instantly and smiles again. "You're amazing Cole, you know that?" Sophie grins.

"Haha I know I am," Cole chuckles.

"You sound just like Kai," Sophie laughs with Cole.

"Well, we do live together. It's only normal we'd pick up after each other," Cole replies.

"That's true, that's true...it's been so long since I've held someone's hand.." Sophie's voice goes lower as she looks at the hand that Cole was holding.

"You find a lot of comfort in it don't you?" Cole asks once again.

"I do..also, I really like the feeling I get when I'm holding hands with any of you guys," Sophie mentions.

"Is there anything different when I hold your hand?" Cole questions, he squeezes her hand slightly.

"Definitely..everyone gives me a different feeling," Sophie answers. "But I like the feeling you give me when we hold hands more."
