Chapter 7

"Oh I have such a bad feeling about what's going to happen," Wu paces, trying to figure out what the bad feeling was exactly.

"Relax. I'm sure whatever it is, we can handle it," Misako reassures him. Wu shakes his head. "It's not like that. I mean, I have a bad feeling that something terrible is going to happen to Sophie," he replies, deep in thought.

"What are you ninja doing?" Wu narrows his eyes at the door, then walks over and pushes it open, to revel 6 guilty ninja.

"N-nothing! Nothing at all!" Jay stutters. "Yeah, we were just passing by, that's all," Kai adds. "And we were busy talking," Lloyd says. "About dinner...and stuff," Cole offers. "Nothing out of the ordinary," Zane adds. "We weren't doing anything wrong," Nya decides to add.

"I'm your Sensei as well as someone who lives with all of you. I know when you're eavesdropping," Wu frowns. "How much did you hear?"

"All of it," Lloyd looks down.

Wu sighs. "Listen. The only reason why I'm talking to Misako about this alone is because I don't want to worry all of you with something that may not even be true. So please try and respect that. Now leave," Wu waves his hands.

The ninja take their leave, making their way over to the game room.

"So what were you trying to say?" Misako asks, as Wu closes the door.

"What I've been trying to say is that Acheron is going after Chronos Steel," Wu answers. "The steel that can take elemental powers..." Misako's voice trails off.

"You know what this means right?" Wu questions. "Of course I do. Not only is Sophie going to die if we don't do something, but the ninja will also be affected badly," Misako concludes.

"Exactly."

"Where exactly do we get it from?" Acheron questions, twirling around in his chair. "We're going to have to look. I have no idea where it is," Overlord answers.

"If you don't know where it is, why would you suggest it?"

"It's the most sufficient way. Trust me, it will take a while but it will be worth it."

"Anything to make sure you live."

"Okay. Then the most likely place...is anywhere."

"That sure helps." Acheron scoffs.

"Enough of the sassy tone. We need to hurry and look before Wu comes."

"Wu...him and his father and brother are your enemies right? They're the ones that killed you. Then Zane did."

"Yes...although...every time I wondered what would happened to you."

"You died like, 4 times!"

"Every time just worried about you."

"Overlord...please don't leave me again."

"I can't make any promises.." Overlord walks over and hugs Acheron. He pushes the Overlord away. "I don't want to lose you again. So make sure you live this time," Acheron glares.

"You too," Overlord shoots back at him.

"This bad feeling is really getting to me," Lloyd says, while brushing his teeth. "Well, I can't help but feel like Acheron is planning something," Jay adds. "I have a very bad feeling that they may be after the Chronos Steel," Zane offers.

"Why would they go after that?" Cole questions, spitting out the water from his mouth. "It obviously has some value," Kai says.

"Think about it. Chronos Steel can get rid of our Elemental powers. They would want to use that on Sophie," Zane starts.

"Because then it would increase the chance of the Overlord surviving!" Jay finishes.

"But what would that do to Sophie?" Lloyd questions.

"It would kill her.." Cole realizes. "That's not good. I bet you this is what Sensei was talking about to Misako," Kai concludes.

"We've gotta tell Nya," Jay says. The all nod.

"That's horrible! We need to do something!" Nya cries out, jumping up. "We can't really do anything at the moment," Kai makes her sit back down. "He's right. Besides, it'll take a while to get the Chronos Steel anyway," Jay adds.

"We need a plan," Lloyd says. "But we also need Sensei to help," Zane adds. "Then we should tell him," Cole offers. They all nod in agreement.

Acheron grabs his bag, then swings it over himself. Alter Sophie puts some equipment into her bag and then proceeds to close it. She hooks up the ear-piece, as does Acheron.

"You ready?" Acheron asks, coming over to her. "All set," Alter swings the bag over her shoulders. Acheron puts a hand on her shoulder. "Be careful," he says.

"You're only saying that because your brother will die if I die," Alter smacks his hand away. Acheron sighs.

"I care just as much about my great niece. As I do about my brother," he looks her right in the eye.

"No. You don't. Stop pretending. It's sickening," Alter rolls her eyes. "I do care. Why else do you think I listen to you?" Acheron narrows his eyes. "Because I'm useful. That's why. I know that if you get that Chronos Steel, you'll kill me," Alter looks down at her watch. "I swear..." Acheron rolls his eyes.

"It's not a lie and you know it. I'm not stupid."

"Then why are you helping me?"

"Because...I stay true to my word."

"Honor. You have a good sense of honor."

"Pfft. As if. I'm just fulfilling my promise."

"Well, thank you Sophie."

Alter looks over at Acheron, a surprised look on her face. "Do you mean that?" Alter asks.

"I do." Acheron smiles. "Now let's head out."

The ninja all pack up, taking their important equipment. Wu didn't want to involve them, but they ended up in it anyway.

So he had to let them help him. Misako too. She wouldn't have them all go alone.

They start to head out. In attempt to find Acheron and Alter before they found Chronos Steel.

Wu told them it would be difficult. They didn't care. Wu gave them many more warnings, yet they still didn't care.

Because this was the start of their apology...of them making it up to Sophie.

And with that, the race began.....
