The Run

Jesus POV
....................
We were silent for the first few minutes of the car ride. I couldn't help but think of Daryl. How he just didn't want me to leave. The look on his face as I left. That pain in my chest just kept getting worse the more I thought of him. I just looked out the window and tried to think of something else.

"You good?" Rick says

"Huh? Yeah I'm good." I lied.

"Your thinking of Daryl aren't you?" He says.

"Yeah." I said still looking out the window.

"I understand. I'm thinking of Michonne right now. She doesn't like me to leave her."

"Do you get a pain in your chest to?" I asked.

"Sometimes." He answers.

"It's just. This is the first time I've been away from him. He hasn't let me out of his sight since that day I went to talk to you. He's so damn protective. But, I like it. It's nice to know someone cares about you that much, you know? I've never had anyone care so much. Not since the beginning of all of this." I said to him.

"I can understand why he's so protective. He's lost a lot of people he loved. Now that he has someone of his own, he'll stop at nothing to protect you."

"Yeah I guess your right." I said. Now I get it. Why he's so protective. I kinda wanna go home now. I wanna be in his arms.

"We're here." He says.

Daryl POV

I watched them go as the gate  shut. Michonne walked down from the guard tower and stood next to me. "It's ok Daryl. I don't like for Rick to leave ether." She said putting a hand on my shoulder.

"What do mean?" I said playing dumb.

"I know your waiting for Jesus to come back." She says.

"Who told you?"

"You just did. (Chuckle) You confirmed my suspension of you two being together. "

I blushed a little bit. "And I saw y'all kiss. I'm glad your with him. He deserves you and you deserve him. Y'all are a good pair."

"Thanks I guess." I said chuckling.

"Are you really gonna sit here and wait for them?" She asks me.

"Yup."

"Welp I'm in the tower of you need someone to talk to." She said with a smile.

"Ok." I smiled back.

She started to walk back to the tower. "Hey Michonne?"

"Yeah?"

"Don't tell anyone. Not yet."

"My lips are sealed." She said pretending to zip her lips.

"Thanks." I said going back to starring at the gate.

Jesus POV

We walked up to the doors of the store. I knocked on the glass and about 7 walkers came smacking into it. "Open the door and let them out one by one." Rick says.

"Ok." I said grabbing the door handle. "Ready?" I asked.

"Ready."

I let them out one by one and Rick took them out easily. We walked in and looked around. "I guess they were the only ones." I said.

"I guess. Let's look around. We can split up but let's not get to far. Anything happens to you Daryl Dixon will have my ass." Rick said laughing.
