Maddie's POV
..........................
I sat beside Carl on the bed holding his hand. "(Sigh) Why did you go after him Carl, huh?" I ask even though I know he can't hear me. "Come on Carl (Sniffle) I need you to wake up. I wanna talk to you. Hear your voice." I say laying my head on his chest as I start to cry softly.

I lay there, all alone in this dark room with nothing to do but wait and no one to talk to except myself. "How do I live? How do I breath? When your not here I'm suffocating." I sing aloud. At this point it's the one thing I can do to keep myself calm. "Cause the writings on the wall." I continue as my tears fall harder, soaking Carl's shirt.

Then I felt something. A squeeze of my hand. "Sing me another. (Cough) Please." I heard someone say weakly.

I turned on the little lamp and the light revealed Carl looking at me with a weak little smile. "CARL!" I yelled as I hugged him. "I'm so happy your ok." I say looking into his.....eye. "I thought I lost you."

He wiped the tears from my cheeks. "I thought you lost me to. I had given up until you ran in here and told me to keep fighting. And then I realized." He pauses and cups my face. "I had something to fight for." He says.

"Awwww........Wait, you could hear me?" I say softly.

"Heard every word." He says pulling me towards him, making our lips connect.

He pulls away after a minute or two. "I love you Maddie." He says pushing my hair out of my face.

"I love you too Carl." I smile, pressing my lips against his once more.

Jesus POV

I woke up the next morning in a bed next to Daryl. "What the hell? How'd I get here?" I say to myself as I look around the unfamiliar room.

Daryl turned over and looked at me. "Morning baby." He says smiling.

"Good morning. Ummm where are we?" I ask.

"We're in the room right next door to Maddie and Carl. You passed out so I brought you in here so you could sleep."

"Oh. Thank you baby." I say kissing his forehead. "We should probably check on her and see if Carl's up." I say getting up.

He jumped up with me and we headed over to the room next to us. Daryl started to knock but I stopped him when I heard someone taking. I looked through the little crack in the door with Daryl pressed against my back looking through the crack from higher up. Maddie laid there with Carl, their lips pressed together.

"I love you Maddie." Carl says.

"I love you too Carl." She's says pressing her lips against his again.

I could feel Daryl tense up. I grabbed his hand and squeezed. "It's ok baby. She knows what she's doing." I say rubbing my thumb over the top of his hand.

I feel him pull away and soon after I hear the door shut. I just sigh and knock on the door. "Come in." I hear her say.

"Carl! Your up!" I say excitedly as if I had no idea.

"Yeah. (Cough) I'm up."

"Glad to see it. Good to have ya back to reality." I smile.

Maddie nuzzles closer to him. "I know your happy." I say to her.

"Very much so." She smiles.

Suddenly I hear the door swing open. "CARL!" Rick and Michonne yell running in.

Maddie quickly jumps off the bed before hey run up to Carl, just about smothering him to death. I look behind me to see Daryl leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed in front of his chest with a small smile on his face.

I walk up to him and peck his cheek. "You ok?" I ask him.

He wraps his arms around me and kisses my forehead. "Yeah I will be. Its gonna take some getting used to." He smiles looking behind me.

I turn and see Maddie right back in bed with Carl. I smile softly and so does Daryl surprisingly. Then, she gets up and walks to us. "Happy to see him up." Daryl says with a small smile.

"Me too." She says.

"Oh we know you are." I say.

She smiles at us. "You guys can go home if you'd like. I might be home. If not you know where I'll be."

"Ok. You sure?" I ask.

"Yeah."

"Ok. We're gonna say something to him before we go ok." I say grabbing Daryl's hand and pulling him with me.

"Hey Carl." We say together.

"Hey guys." He says weakly.

"Glad to see your up kid. Had us scared straight." Daryl says.

"Thanks." He smiles.

"We're gonna head home if you need anything you know where to find us. All of you .....if you need anything." I say looking at Rick and Michonne.

"Thank you Jesus." Michonne smiles.

"Yeah thanks. See ya guys later." Rick smiles.

"See you guys." Daryl and I say as we walk hand in hand out the door and head towards home to get some sleep.

Hey guys it's me. So I'm sorry if I'm updating slowly. Schools here and I've had barely any time to write. I've had so much stuff to do wether it be homework, band stuff, bowling, Girl Scouts.
