Well I can't leave y'all hanging on what happened with Carl and Maddie now can I. Nope. So here you go.

Maddies POV

I ran out the front door where Carl was waiting for me on the porch. "Well?" He says.

"They said.... I can go." I say excitedly.

"Cool. You ready?" He asks.

"Yup." I say with a smile. "Oh wait I forgot to grab a jacket."

"Don't worry about that." He says grabbing a umbrella and a light jacket out of his backpack. "Here ya go ma'am." He smiles.

"Thank you sir." I say putting on the jacket as he puts up the umbrella and puts it over the two of us.

He took me aaaaall over Alexandria. I saw everything that they had. Every building, all the gardens. Everything. It was beautiful. All the people were nice. It was amazing. Then....after my tour was done,we just walked in the light rain talking and laughing about some dumb shit.

"This is nice." I thought to myself. This is the first time since before the apocalypse that I've actually laughed this much and had a good time. He's amazing. It's like he gets me. "Hey you ok?" He says noticing my day dreaming.

"Huh. Yeah I'm good." I smile. "Just thinking."

"Bout what?" He says pulling out a blanket and sitting it under a tree. Man he's got a lot of stuff in that backpack. He sits down and pulls me down with him.

"Stuff." I say shrugging my shoulders.

"Ok smart ass. What kinda stuff?" He laughs.

"Just..... stuff. Thinking about what an amazing time I've had with you today. This is most fun that I've had since before the apocalypse. It's nice to have a friend like you." I smile.

He puts his head down blushing. "I've had an amazing time with you to. You know? Ever since my friend left to go to the HillTop with Maggie, I haven't had anyone. But now." He stops and puts his hand on mine. "I've got someone. A new friend. A new best friend." he smiles at me.

I start blushing with a smile. I just wrap my arms around his neck and hug him. "I'm glad to have you Carl."

He hugs me back. And we just sit there a little longer. Then I noticed that it was getting dark. "Well I gotta get home." I say standing up.

"I'll walk you." He says packing up the stuff. He holds his hand out for me to grab and I grab it.

When we arrived it was dark but, oh well. I guess I'll get lectured in the morning. We stopped on the porch. "I had a great time today Carl. Hope we can do it again." I say hugging him.

"Don't worry.... we will."

I let go and walked into the house. Before I shut the door I waved and he waved back as I shut it. A smile came across my face.

Jesus POV

As I sat on the couch waiting for her to come home. I wouldn't let Daryl do it cause I know he'll be pissed that she's late. She walked through the door and waved to Carl as she shut it. "Your late." I say which startles her.

"You scared me." She says sitting next to me on the couch. "Im sorry. I lost track of time. We were talking and all I just didn't realize how dark it was getting."

"Just be lucky Daryl isn't up to lecture you......I saved your ass on this one." I laughed and she laughed with me. "Well did you have fun?" I ask.

"I had a great time. It was lots of fun. Carl's a great guy. " she said. She had the biggest smile on her face. Which made me smile.

"That's good. You hungry?" I ask getting up to go to the kitchen as she follows.

"A little."

I toss her a granola bar and a bottle of water. "Thanks." She says.

"No problem. Go on to bed. You can eat up there. But be quiet ok."

"Ok. Goodnight Jesus." She smiles walking quietly up stairs.

I walked up soon after and went into my room. Daryl laid there sprawled out like a starfish, taking up the whole damn bed. I bend down to his ear. "Scoot over ."

He moves over with a groan and I lay down. Soon he drapes his arm over my chest and kisses my shoulder blade. "She was late." He grunts.

"Just let her go this time." I smile.

"Ok. This one time." He says kissing me again. "Goodnight. Love you."

"Love you too."

Ok my readers. This was not very good, BUT! It's going to get way better. I have over 30 pages of action packed, heart warming stuff for this book written down and I'm excited to write it. Hope everyone is enjoying this so far.
