If you're able to decipher the message, it says:
"PARENTS DID IT"
How? A = 1 B = 2 C = 3 and so on with the alphabet.
This means the parents killed the caretaker and their own baby!

The Bag
I was waiting for the bus at the stop when a woman sat beside me. She had this adorable cat lying on her lap.
The cat was white with a few ginger spots. Unbelievably cute. Couldn't hold my excitement, I blurted,
"Your cat is so cute!"
Startled, the woman smiled and replied,
"Oh, this is just a bag."
She opened the zipper to show that the cat was a bag. Then, I realized the eyes aren't real either. If I look a little closer, I can the cat's eye are made out of glass.
"I'm sorry. The bag looks so realistic."
"I love animals dearly," the woman brightly smiled, "I hate to throw things away, so I have to recycle every time."
I nodded as she went on the bus. I watched it disappeared; gosh that was frightening.

Answer to this Riddle
The bag is a bag for sure.
But, the creepy message is that the bag is made out of a real cat!
