**SHAWN'S POV**

I woke up like I would any other day. Except I was already up out of bed and getting ready, unlike most mornings, where I refuse to get up. I was in such a good mood. The events that took place last night proved to me that Alyssa felt the same way about me as I felt about her. My plan was to ask her out today, before MagCon. I was pumped. I'm almost sure that she will say yes.

As I stepped into the shower. The warm water splashed against my skin. I started to sing, as I normally do.

"I'm falling to pieces..."

In the continuos downpour of water from the shower head, I got to thinking. "I should probably ask Hunter." I said to myself. As I finished up. I decided to visit Hunters room. I didn't want Alyssa to see me, so I had to make sure... to be sure.

These thoughts really got to me. I started to get ready, extraordinarily fast. I guess my confidence was down. I need to talk to Hunter. NOW.

I fast as could, I sprinted to Alyssa and Hunters room. My nerves were finally catching up with me. I got to the door and banged on the wood. I heard little footsteps coming closer on the other side. I started pacing back and forth crossing the door each time. My thoughts were all one big gigantic mess in my mind. I could barely see straight. I heard the door knob click and I froze.

I saw dark brown hair. Hunter. "Thank God!" I said as I exhaled in relief. I was really really unsure of Alyssa's answer.

"I'm going to ask Alyssa out." I blurted out. I couldn't keep it in. I couldn't even get a hello in.

"Oh my god! When?" She answered.

"Uhhh... Now?" I said shrugging and holding up my hands.

"That's great!" She exclaimed. "So you want me to leave." She said willingly, pointing down the hall with both hands.

"Yes. But,what will she say?" I asked. To my unknowing, I started biting my nails. It's my nervous habit. It's weird to think that less than an hour ago, I was just going to waltz down here and ask her out, full of confidence. But now, I was a dog, so scared, that I had my tail between my legs.

"She's going to yes. No doubt." As soon as the words escaped her lips, I felt my tighten nerves unwind and relax. "You know, she has never been that crazy over boys. But you? Well I think you sparked something. She really likes you."

"She really likes you." That was the greatest sentence I have heard in a long long time. That's all I needed to hear. I could feel my confidence get pumped up to 100%. I like Alyssa, she likes me. "Thank you." I said to Hunter sincerely.

"No problem. But, I'm letting you know now, if you hurt her in anyway way, shape, or form, I will kill you." She said.

"I never want to hurt her." I answered her reassuringly. I looked down at my clothes. A flannel, some random pair of jeans, and my vans. I brushed off my flannel, and fixed my hair. Let's do this.

"Alyssa! I'm "getting ice"". She said, putting finger quotations around the "getting ice"part. Luckily the door was closed so Alyssa couldn't see. She turned and walked down the hall.

I stared at the door blankly. Here we go.

I knocked on the door three times. Just like before, I heard feet come closer. The door swung open and a huge gust of wind came flying at me. Out walked Alyssa.

"Oh, um hey Shawn! I'm not going to have to try to catch you again am I?" She asked playfully.

"Hopefully not." I said. She started laughing. I want to just come right up and ask, but I had to make some conversation first.
