**ALYSSA'S POV**
"Alright class!" said Mrs.Gibbons, clapping her hands together like she was about to give us good news, even though, we all knew she wasn't. "Unfortunately, I do have to give you weekend homework." She finished said.
The whole class just groaned and sat back in their chairs. This is just another typical Friday in English class. Lucky for us, it's last period and school lets out in 3 minutes.
"What's the damage?" I mumbled like normal from the back of the classroom. Everyone ignored me, as usual. I just held my face in my palm, with my whole body flopped onto the crappy wooden desk.
"Good question!" She answered. I simply rolled my eyes in response. "All I ask is that you write a short story. It only has to be a paragraph or two. It has to be based on the desire or want. It will all make sense next week. See you all then!"
"What the fuck?" I heard the kid next to me say, even though it wasn't meant for my ears to hear.
Ding! Ding!
Everyone got up from their desks and began to file out of the dull, uninviting classroom. With my body, like many others, I managed to squish and squeeze my way out the door and navigate my way through the halls.
When I finally get to my locker, I let out a huge sigh of relief. "Jesus." I said to myself. I opened it up and grabbed the necessary books I needed for the weekend. After I shoved the old books into my bag, I went to grab my jacket. I felt around for it, but it wasn't there.
"Awh! Shit!" I said. I took my hand gripped the locker door tightly. I threw the locker shut, making a loud, ear piercing slam. I marched the same route back to my English class. By now, the halls were deserted and deprived of kids who waited so patiently for the weekend to come.
When I finally got to my English classroom door, it was locked and the lights were off. I pressed my face along the glass window and peeked in. I looked to my seat and saw my brown jacket lying on the floor. I slammed my fist on the door and put my forehead against it.
"C'mon!" I said. I turned and walked away. Some kid with his head came walking in my direction. I just silently walked passed him.
"You need that opened?" A deep raspy voice said. It sounded oddly familiar but still in a foggy, uncertain way.
"Uh yea. I left my jacket in there." I answered. I turned and saw the boys eyes.
Marcus. When our eyes met, the nerves in my body went all electric and I froze like an ice cube. His deep brown eyes shimmered from the light of the hallway. His lip ring hung just off the left side of his wet lower lip. He was wearing a Metallica tanktop that was obviously once a T-shirt that he cut. He added slits and holes all over the sides. His skin showed underneath in all the right places. Over it, he wore an open red and black flannel. His hair was messily tucked underneath a grey beanie. My eyes started to wander his body.
"Here. I'll get it." He said with barely moving his lips apart. He turned and swung his backpack off his shoulder and opened it up. "I'm Marcus by the way, if you don't remember me. Your name is Alyssa right?"
"I, um, uh-" I stammered. He looked up at me and laughed.
"Cat caught your tongue?" He asked with a bit of flirtatious notes on the 'tongue'. He continued digging and finally pulled out a little bobby-pin.
"Yes. Hahaha" I nervously laughed. I fixed my brown hair and tucked it behind my ears. "Alyssa! Pull your shit together!" I screamed to myself. "And of course I remember you. My only question is, why do u have a bobby pin?" I changed the subject off me.
