"Clarke, I love you. I have known that you were the one for me since I first met you, three years ago. That summer, I fell in love with you. Now, I'm asking you to spend the rest of your life with me. Will you marry me?"

4 years later

"Okay, so when the fuck were you going to tell me you moved?" Octavia demanded over the phone.

Clarke sighed heavily and put her coffee down. "Octavia, you weren't in the country. You didn't have a cell phone. And you told us that you couldn't receive mail. I moved six months ago."

"So while I go and help people in countries that need it, you go off and like, leave me?"

"I left your brother, Octavia. Not you. Now come on, I'm at work. I can't have this conversation. I'll meet up with you this weekend, I'll specially drive down just for you."

Octavia sighed. "Fine. But tell me this, what did he do to you? Did he chest on you?"

"No, he didn't," Clarke answered. "He just, he changed. He's not the guy that proposed."

"Okay, well you've got to fill me in this weekend. I'll call you." Octavia ended the call just as Clarke's boss, Mr. Jaha walked out of his office.

"Good afternoon, Miss Griffin," he smiled. "Did you get the email I sent you?"

"Yes sir, I've already began constructing the file. I've contacted several sources for the information. I'm updating as I get new information."

"Wonderful," he said. "I didn't doubt it at all. I'm stepping out for the rest of the day, so I will see you Tuesday."

"Tuesday, sir? Not tomorrow?" Clarke was confused.

"I emailed you," he chuckled. "Tomorrow, you're free."

"I'm sorry, sir. I've been checking constantly." Clarke apologized, but Mr. Jaha laughed it off and told her to enjoy her long weekend.

Well, that meant Clarke had one whole day to mentally prepare before making the 300 mile trip back to Arkadia..

"You left already?!" Raven asked, horrified and angry. "Why?"

"The faster I get there, the faster I'm leaving, Rave. I told you I wanted to make this a one day thing. I don't want to be there!"

"Well I was bringing you coffee to cheer your ass up. Guess I'm drinking two lattes."

"Well, we're two peas in a pod. I'm on my second latte already. Starbucks is my best friend this morning," Clarke sighed.

"Okay, fine. But I want constant updates, okay?" Raven asked before Clarke agreed. They hung up, Clarke's stomach in knots as she headed further south.

Arkadia

Clarke braced herself before she opened her car door and stepped out into the small city she was heartbroken to leave. She felt heads turn as she entered the small diner, taking a seat closer to the back window.

She crossed her legs and played with her fingernails as Indra was approaching her.

"Clarke?"

"Uh, hey," Clarke said nervously.

"Oh!" Indra leaned down and hugged her tightly. "I'm so happy to see you! I can't believe I didn't get to tell you goodbye."

Relief washed over Clarke at her words. She was terrified that Indra would gate her for cancelling the wedding and just leaving town. "I'm sorry," Clarke said.
