Clarke put her backpack in the trunk, glad there was only one week of school left. She needed the summer to relax and prepare for senior year. It would be a busy one.

"How does my best friend feel about Mexican?"

Clarke turned to face Octavia Blake with an irritated look. The beautiful girl gave Clarke her best smile, her green eyes sparkling.

"Can you please explain to me why you want to go eat at the restaurant where your asshole brother works? He hates me, dude."

It was true. Bellamy Blake, Octavia's older brother by just a year was rude. He hated that Clarke and Octavia spent more time together, mostly at his house, than they did apart. He always called Clarke names and rubbed her hair like she was a pet. Or worse, a sister.

"You mean the brother who you drool over when you stare at?" Octavia challenged.

"I do not!" Clarke said, outraged that Octavia had caught her. "Your prick of a brother hates me and I hate him, too." She took a breath. "Fine. Let's go eat Mexican food, but he better give us a fucking discount!"

"Look what the cat dragged in," Bellamy spoke over the counter as he started scooping ingredients into her bowl. Without asking her what she even wanted.

"Your brat sister wanted to come," Clarke said, making sure it was clear that it wasn't her decision.

"Yeah, I bet," he teased. "You love watching me, huh?"

Clarke refused to blush. "If I was watching you get hit by a semi, I would love it," she countered. "Hey, only put a few.... never mind."

Bellamy made her order to perfection, smirking at her. "Hey, send me down another bowl. I'm going to clock out and join my sister and uh, friend, for dinner," he called to the girl at the register.

Great.

Clarke took her food outside with Octavia, placing it down before heading back in to fill up her drink. Bellamy was filling up on coke as usual.

"So, my girl comes to see me at work today? What a nice surprise."

My girl?

Clarke raised a brow. "Excuse me?" She asked. "Have you been getting high with the cook or are we playing a ruse? Is there a girl here you dumped? Do I have to pretend to like you? Is she going to cut me? Cut your tires?"

Bellamy's eyes widened, then he laughed, sending warm sensations throughout her body. He wrapped an arm around her shoulder and kissed her temple before leaving her to fill her drink.

He was so frustrating.

".. yeah, I think that's a great idea," Octavia was saying as Clarke sat down at the round table with them.

"What's a good idea?" Clarke asked.

"Bellamy's going to have some friends over for movie night tonight. And, I invited you."

Clarke rolled her eyes at Octavia. "No way," she spoke. "Bellamy is already an ass, I am not adding Murphy to the mix. I'm just going to leave after I eat and go relax at home."

"You can't leave her with me," Bellamy spoke. "I have to go get an oil change and Octavia isn't going because she claims the smell of oil makes her sick."

"And, I have to have a way to Lincoln. He and I are going to eat dessert before we come to movie night."

"Okay, so basically I've been volunteered to drive you to Lincoln? And then I'm forced to come back to town and sit on a couch between Jackass One and Jackass Two?" Clarke asked. "And hell, if Monty comes with Harper they're going to just make out. And Rave and Wick will fuss and argue until he kisses her to shut her up."
