"Raven, it's been over a year! When are we going to be able to get back down to Earth?" Bellamy asked, the guilt of leaving Clarke to die constantly weighing on him. The desperation to get back to her was eating him up just as badly. "And why can't we radio her, Monty?! You two fix everything, why can't we talk to her?"
"We already told you," Monty said, trying to ease the tension. "The satellite didn't work, and we don't have any more parts to spare to keep trying. We will get to-"
"Bellamy," Clarke's voice entered the room over the small radio, Bellamy's heart pounding as he ran over to hear her better. "If you can hear me, if you're alive, it's been 2,199 days since Praimfaya. I don't know why I still do this everyday."
Monty and Raven shared a knowing look as Bellamy's shoulders tensed.
"Maybe it's my way of staying sane, not forgetting who I am. Who I was. It's been safe to come down for over a year now. Why haven't you?"
Clarke's words cut through Bellamy's chest, his hand scratching his chest over the pain he felt. Gripping the radio tightly, he tried to answer her. "We've been trying, Clarke," his voice broken.
"The bunker's gone silent, too. We tried to get them out for awhile, but there was too much rubble. I haven't made contact with them either." Bellamy felt the pain in her voice, he felt it, too. Not knowing if his sister or her mother were even still alive. "Anyway," Clarke continued. "I still have hope. Tell Raven to aim for the one spot of green, and you'll find me. The rest of the planet from what I've seen basically sucks, so..." Bellamy straightened as she stopped speaking. "Never mind," she said. "I see you."
"Clarke?! Clarke!" Bellamy shouted into the radio. "Clarke that's not me! That's not us! Clarke, please hear me, please!" Bellamy's voice was strained, cracking. "Clarke!!" In a rage he turned and slammed his fists against the wall. "Raven," he demanded as he turned to face her. The fear was clear in everyone's eyes, none of them wanted Clarke to be in trouble. "Get us down there. Now."
I know I never add anything at the end of chapters, and I'm sorry this was so short, but I'm slowly dying as I wait for season five and I can totally see this happening. I am hoping and wishing that in the last six years Bellamy has heard Clarke! ❤
