Wedding

Alec held his hand out to Magnus. He had explained the plan of going down to the lake quickly.

Catarina, who he was talking to before Alec appeared, smiled. "Carpe diem. Don't waste your time on fretting," she said to Magnus before picking up her skirts and walking away.

Magnus smiled and took Alec's hand.

Alec pulled Magnus to the trail to the lake. It was dark but the moon casted enough light for Alec to see Magnus' exotic eyes.

He had been in love with those eyes since the first time he saw them. That was only a few months ago, but it felt like a lifetime.

"Taken by my looks?" Magnus asked. Even though Alec couldn't see his face very well, he could tell he was smirking.

"You are beautiful," Alec said while kissing Magnus's hand that was still intertwined with Alec's.

Magnus smiled to himself before turning to look behind him.

He saw the outlines of six people. He assumed Clary, Jace, Simon, Isabelle, Bat, and Maia.

They were close to the lake. Magnus was instantly reminded of Alec's eyes when he saw the deep blue of the lake. The stars were reflected off of the surface.

It might have reminded him of his boyfriend's eyes, but it certainly didn't have the full beauty and essence.

Magnus quickly slipped his hand out of Alec's. Alec immediately protested put Magnus shushed him.

"Calm yourself Alexander," Magnus whispered before snapping.

Towels and blankets appeared on the sandy shore. Along with a huge fire that was blazing. The flames started as a vibrant blue but then subtly changed into a brilliant orange and red.

Magnus heard clapping from behind him. He turned and gave an exaggerated bow.

Alec laughed lightly. Magnus turned around and smiled down at him. Alec hadn't laughed in a long time. Or atleast not as genuine as that laugh.

Magnus leaned in and kissed Alec's temple lightly before pulling him to the beach.

Magnus gave him a chaste kiss before pulling him down onto one of the blankets closest to the fire.

Alec automatically fell onto Magnus. Relying on Magnus to hold both of them up.

They sat in a comfortable silence. Just trying to enjoy each other's company. They had both missed each other's company while briefly being apart.

Immensely.

Alec might've done a horrible thing, but Magnus knew he would've never gone through with it. And Magnus loved him, so he would forgive him. If not for Alec's sake, then his own.

He had told Alec this earlier. The younger boy seemed grateful at Magnus' reasoning.

Magnus was glad that the little things in life still pleased Alec.

"Magnus!" He heard Alec yell. It sounded far away.

Magnus turned his head away from the fire to look at his Shadowhunter. From the fire his eyes shone brightly. Magnus could see the thin streaks of light blue and white that blended in with the dark blue. Like the stars that scattered the night sky.

"Were you even listening?" He asked annoyed. Everytime Alec would get annoyed his eyebrows would furrow together and his cheeks would slightly redden.

"I'm sorry Darling," Magnus said while moving to wrap his arms around Alec's chest and placed his chin on Alec's shoulder. He could feel Alec's steady heart beat.
