Being a Shadowhunter, you had to be ready for every type of battle. A small group if demons could easily be dispatched by two or even one Shadowhunter. But Endarkened. . . They took a little more.
A group of at least 20 Endarkened stood in front of Alec's fellow Nephilim. Sebastian's warriors seemed to be multiplying. More and more appeared in front of his eyes.
He looked around and saw startled looks on other's faces. They noticed too.
Alec would've been more excited for the fight if his parabatai wasn't on enemy lines. Even if Jace was possessed, the Clave didn't seem to care. He was still a villain in their eyes.
Magnus, thankfully, was standing beside Alec. If not Alec thought he would've had a panic attack. "Don't die out there," was all Magnus said. His tone cut off and his eyes dim but glowing at the same time. He was wearing all black just like everyone else. A plain black shirt with black jeans and black boots. The only thing that was different was the black coat he had on. Alec didn't judge him. He wished he brought a coat.
Alec had to choke back a response.
Even if he didn't, he wouldn't have been able to say anything. The Endarkened charged. Possibly Sebastian was tired of their procrastination. Alec fought the smile that was trying to appear on his face. At least I annoy him.All the Shadowhunters ran too. Alec heard the name of the Angels being whispered. Seraph blades ignited.
Alec ran to find high ground. He found a clear mountainous area. It overlooked the battle perfectly, but had no defense. He had to take it. With his bow he would have a great advantage. He took it.
He felt bad for thinking it was a beautiful view. Shadowhunters wearing black with runes that covered their bodies fighting Endarkened with dark red clothing and runes. And the the occasional blast of blue fire that swept through everyone. Being merciless when it came to killing.
Alec loaded an arrow on his bow. He scanned the crowd for a view. There, he thought.
The Endarkened was farther back, away from any Shadowhunters. He pulled back on the arrow and them let it sing through the sky. It hit home. He silently congratulated himself before he got another arrow ready. He released it again. Hitting the target directly.
After a while he started getting low on arrows. Thinking better to conserve, he stopped. He climbed off his viewing platform, and went to join the real battle.
He moved swiftly while slicing Endarkened. They had a very angelic like grace, but then also more mechanical moves. It made it very hard to predict movements. Still, he forged through.
He killed a single Endarkened while on the ground, it had probably been a few minutes now. Maybe I should go back, he thought. But that thought was corrupted when he saw his parabatai.
He was standing in the center of the field. He wasn't in any type of armor. Just normal clothing. But, he was fighting. He was fighting ferociously. Faster than Alec had ever seen him, and they were supposed to be equals when it came to fighting.
He started towards Jace but was stopped when someone stepped in front of him.
"Alec no, " his sister cursed. "Clary has the sword that the angel gave us, she can help him. You'll just get yourself killed."
Alec wanted to ignore her words but she was right. He sighed and looked around. The battle was still raging around them. "Iz tell Clary to give me the sword. I have to get him back." Isabelle didn't move. She shook her head.
"You'll die."
"Oh, so she won't die?"
"Alec you know what I mean," She looked furious. Alec then noticed the blood that coated her gear. Thankfully Alec knew it wasn't hers. "Please, don't make me lose another brother."
