Days had quickly flew by without large breath taking events to speak about. It was normal for me, school, Haylee, Jordan and I haven't seen Mikey. I avoided him just like I avoided homework, when it came time for me to see him, I would. I was enjoying everything, living like a regular human being until I waltzed around in my bedroom to stop at my calendar. Today was the 29th of May, no special holiday or birthday but there was a small circle in the right hand corner. I squinted my eyes and leaned closer, reading the words aloud quietly.

"Full moon," I peered down to buddy who was beside my ankles and swooped him up. "Tonight is not going to be a good night." I told him to receive a bark with breathless pants to follow after. "I know," I agreed and walked out my room with him, eyes still full of tiredness. I jogged down the stairs to see my mother and my grandmother discreetly discussing me and how they were going to tie me down tonight. I cleared my throat for their attention and they turned their heads, eyes nervous as they watched me.

"Morning," my mom forged a smile. "Hope you don't have any plans for tonight."

"Meh meh meh," I mimicked her with a shake of my head and left the not-even conversation to let Buddy out into the backyard. I watched him run around and sighed bitterly to myself, wondering how my mother would tie me up tonight. Chains and ropes couldn't hold me for long, so they were going to have to go to an exterior extreme to hold me down. It was impossible, but if they wanted to try then hey, they're my guests. I sat on the back patio and yawned, fishing in my pajama pockets for my cellphone. "Great," I murmured to myself. I took a deep breath and prepared a monologue, but was interrupted when I heard the sound of the door slamming behind me. It was my dear mother there to speak to me and preach to me about life.

"Sweetie," she sat beside me and put her knees to her chest, looking over at me with a half hearted smile on her face. "How is everything?" I ignored her and kept watching Buddy play in the grass, until he began to do his business, I was forced to look at her. "Honey, talk to me."

"About what?"

"Well, how is school and everything?"

"Fine," I shrugged.

"Alexia," she sighed and put her arm around me.

"Just get to the point and tell me how we're doing this tonight."

"Well, nana has a freezer in the basement. So we're going to put you in there and--you're going to put me in a freezer!? Jesus, I thought you were supposed to hold me down, not kill me."

"It's not going to be plugged in silly."

"Okay, so do you think I'll be able to get out?"

"No, no," she shook her head. "We'll also put chains around it."

"I'm going to die."

"You'll be fine, well...you'd be fine if you could just control it."

"Yeah but I can't control it, so I'd appreciate it if you'd stop shooting that shit in my face mom." She huffed in defeat, removing her slender arm from my shoulder to look down at the ground.

"Do you not want to be here Alexia?" She asked nonchalantly and I shook my head. "What's bothering you so much?"

"Well, I think my wolf is starting to...well, come to the fore whenever she wants and I can't control it. Just the other night I ended up at a meadow with Jordan but I don't even remember how I got there."

"That's bad."

"Yes it's bad! And on top of that, Mikey says I'm his mate and I haven't seen him and I kind of don't want to because I kind of sort of like Jordan and it doesn't make any sense to me mom, ever since I moved here, nothing fucking makes sense to me. And it hasn't even been that long, why couldn't I have just been a fucking human? Werewolf's actually suck! They suck!" I screamed and she laughed at me, stopping in her actions when she realized I was being completely serious with her. This wasn't a joke aymore. "My wolf is a bitch."

"Maybe she likes California." My mom smiled and Buddy ran up to me, taking a seat on my lap and barking at my mom. I scratched gently behind his ear and he began to pant. "Fuck you too, Buddy. Anyways, Alexia the school year is almost ending and-

"And I should've stayed with dad," I admitted. "He's probably hurting right now because of you, no matter of fact, he is hurting because of you. I don't know why I let you drag me along for my best interest, why I allowed him to allow me to come here. I want to go back mom."

"We'll work something out," she frowned. "Like I said, I'm sorry I mess things up sometimes, I just-

"Sorry doesn't work for everything, Anne," I said her first name just to make her mad but she remained completely blasé, but it didn't last for long. She looked away, tears evident on her cheeks as she began to cry.

"I made a mistake, Alexia, okay? And if you're going to continue doing this, then just go back, go. Seriously, because I'm trying to be happy and all you want to do is make me miserable."

"You've made me miserable too, mom!" I shot back and picked up Buddy before standing. I held him close and kept a straight face. "I can't accept your void apologies, mom and crying won't make this any better. Sure, I'll stick it out for the rest of this school year, sure! As if enough bad shit hasn't already happened! I don't want to be here and I'm sorry too, but I just..." I trailed off and she stood, walking back into the house without another word. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I felt bad all of a sudden but she would get her vengeance when she received the honor to tie me up. It would make her feel better to hurt me.
