(( OOO A KARA CHAPTER ITS FANCY ))

"Kara..."

I groan and opened my eyes, looking up at the male who stood over me. It was Ichi father. "Sir?" I asked and he put a finger to his lips. His eyes glowed purple like ichis. I looked down at Ichi who was sleeping with his arms wrapped tightly around his own waist, my hand clasped over his.

"Don't wake him... come..." he whispers and walked out of the bedroom. I quickly but carefully untangled myself from ichis grasps and he stirred slightly. I froze and grabbed my jumper off the bed side table and put it in on a pillow and then laid it in front of him. He smiled cutely in his sleep and hugged it, purring softly and nuzzling it. I leant down and kissed his forehead with a sad  smile.

I then exited the room being careful not to let the floorboards creek too much. I walked out to ichis father in only tracksuit pants. He looked at me, not seeming overly interested. "Get a jumper on or something we are going out..."

"Where? And, Ichi has my jump-" he threw a jumper at me, just a flat black jumper, wasn't the most flattering thing ever but it was warm. At least I wasn't going out at a time hundreds of others would be. I looked at my phone to see it was three in the morning. "Sir, I don't mean to be rude but it's three in the morning what are we doing?"

"I need to show you something, here is something you will understand quickly." He poured some food in a food bowl and a black cat walked over and ate from it. "I will be asking the questions, you will be answering them. You do not need to ask questions. So don't. I will be explaining why I'm not pleased with you. And you will deal with the truth."

He walked out the front door barefoot. I went to pull on my shoes but he stood in front of me. "You won't need them. You walk barefoot. Now come." He walked out into the woods. I jumped up to quickly follow him. I winced as I trod on various sharp rocks.

"Do you know what the term mate means?" Ichis father asked walking much quicker then I was as I stared at the grass trying to tread carefully.

"Uh... it's like... the partner of an animal or something. Right?" I ask and continue to follow behind him. He spins around and stops so suddenly I almost run into him.

"No. Not in this case. A mate is not only a partner of our species it is the other half to our soul, the person who can control you, the person who can save your life. The person who can kill you with a single word. Do you know what that word is?"

"No?"

"Love."

I went quiet after that.

"Ichi, is your mate Kara. Whether you could possibly understand this or not, you are both, half of a person. But a whole at the same time. Without one another you will be living like you gain only a drop of water a day, never able to be satisfied."

"That's kinda a harsh way of putting it. Plus wouldn't you die if you only got a drop of water a day?" I knew I was sassing. But what he said had major flaws.

"Yes, yes you would." He turned away. "But when you cannot have your mate and you are forced to live without them... you may as well be." He continued walking and I gulped, following behind him as we began walking up a hill.

"You may as self have left Ichi when you were in the city Kara." He continued. You are leaving in four days anyway. And you leaving now will just cause him more heartbreak."

"I couldn't just let him run away... he could die out here on his own! And I'm sorry four days?"

"I'm buying your ticket I decide when the train leaves. I'm bringing your partner of sorts to my home so that you may have company on your journey home. Ichi asked for me to do that, as he knows though you put on a tough façade, like him, you fear being alone."

"Ichi asked for you to go get her?"

"Yes, he was worried for you. Even if you are a jackass and a prick." He said and I put my hand on my chest.

"Uh.. ow? My ego?"

"Well you need your huge head to shrink."

We walked in silence for a moment after that, my gaze still on the ground not looking where I was going before ichis father put his hand on my chest. I looked up to see we were on a cliff, looking over the rice fields, the sun was slowly rising over the mountains in the distance.

"The moon and the sun work side by side Kara Matsu. And I will tell you this, what you are doing by turning Ichi away, is both selfish and foolish."

"You turned away my mother." I snapped and he glared at me.

"I turned away your mother because it was a time of arranged marriages and honour. If I was to just ask for her hand and then run away with her, she would bring dishonour to her family. I wanted to ask for her hand and I went to her to say goodbye."

"But you survived so will he. I want to have a life with her..." I said looking out over the horizon. "Why is that such a terrible thing?"

"Kara. You will be unhappy I can tell. Because she wasn't made for you was she? Ichi was. He completes you, not her."

"He's my brother."

"He's pregnant Kara.."

"What?"

"The baby is not yours... it's father is shou, but he will have no one but his father to lean on when that baby is born. He didn't tell you because he was afraid he'd hold you back and make you stay. He loves you and he wants you to be happy. Because deep down he doesn't believe he deserves happiness. But he does. And his love for you is greater then you could know. Make your choices wisely and think for the next four days about where you plan to be and where you really fit. Because you don't belong with that girl..."
