The twins looked up at the nearby clock as they pushed their trolleys along, heading for platform 9 and 3/4. At the sight of them only having a minute left, they began to run, drawing a bit of attention to them that disappeared when they ran through a solid brick wall, their father, Scorpius Malfoy, following behind them.Once through, Scorpius quickly rushed them onto the train. Only for them to find that there was only one carriage with room left. Which is occupied by Seraphina Potter and Miallia Granger-Weasley.
-
Derek glanced into each compartment, looking for two spare spaces, his twin sister following slowly behind. Mid-way through the train, as it was starting to move, Derek glanced into one and stopped. "This one." Charlene sighed.
"Do we really have to sit with people? Can I not just go sit by myself?"
"We are both sitting in this compartment." Derek insisted.
"What's so special about this compartment?" Charlene looked in and squinted. "The ginger is probably a granger-weasley anyway, i'm finding somewhere else to sit." She started to push past Derek but he grabbed her by the arm, opened the compartment door and pushed her inside. "Hi! My name is Derek and this is my twin Charlene."
Seraphina's POV:
I can't believe i'm going to Hogwarts!
"Can you believe it Mia?!" I looked at the ginger haired girl sitting across from me, who currently had her nose in a book despite us only just getting on the train. She looked up and smiled.
"I know right! Hogwarts. After all those stories that John and my parents have told me, i'm finally going to be there myself!" The book was plonked down on the spare seat next to her.
"Katherine has told me so much about it as well! I can't wait to be sorted!"
"I can't wait 'till second year!" Mia exclaimed and I rolled my eyes.
"I know, you'll be able to play quidditch."
"I don't get how you aren't excited about quidditch! Your dad plays for England!" I only shrugged in reply and looked out of the window as the train started to move. The book beside Mia was picked back up and we fell into a comfortable silence.
Suddenly, the door to our compartment was swung open and a girl stumbled inside, followed by a boy. "Hi!" The boy says, "My name is Derek and this is my twin Charlene. Is it okay if we sit here? -Everywhere else is full."
"Of course you can sit here. I'm Seraphina and this is Miallia." I said, deciding not to tell them my last name. The fawn brown-haired and emerald-eyed boy sat down next to me. The much blonder and fluffier-haired girl grudgingly followed suit and sat down next to Mia, pushing herself up into the opposite corner.
Derek looked at her and sighed a bit. "Charlene-"
"Are you sure there aren't anymore empty carriages? I don't want to be stuck with these two."
Derek groaned at his sister. "Charlene, we've been over this, you have to try to make some friends and be nice!" Charlene didn't answer back and Derek sighed and turned back to us.
"So," Mia said, breaking the awkward silence," What house do you want to be in? I'm thinking either Ravenclaw or Gryffindor."
Derek opened his mouth to answer before stopping and closing it again. I was about to answer Mia when he took a deep breath in. "I want to be in Hufflepuff."
"Of course you would." Charlene muttered under her breath, pushing herself further into the seat.
"...I want to be in either Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw."
