Derek's POV:
"Hi."
I looked up from the Hufflepuff table to see one of the girls that Charlie usually hangs out with. "Hey. You're umm..."
"Lolita."
"I'm-"
"Derek. I know. So I was wondering if you would like to go out sometime?"
"What?!"
Lolita giggled. "Would you like to go out with me sometime?" She asked again.
"Sorry, but I kinda like somebody else."
"I get it. But if you ever stop liking them... Bye!" She waved her hand, flipped her hair and walked away.
As she left, another person walked up. "Hey Derek!"
I smiled at Sera. "Hi!"
"So... What was she talking to you about?" She had a big smile on her face, like she knew something.
"Nothing much."
"Oh really?" She sat down beside me with a disbelieving look on her face. "'Cause I heard you saying sorry and that you liked somebody else so obviously she either asked you out or said that she liked you."
"Asked me out."
"Omg really?!" Sera's face lit up again.
"Yeah, but as I said-"
"You like somebody else, and I wanna know who it is!"
"I'm not telling you."
"But I'm your Best Friend! It's the law that you have to tell me!"
"What law?"
"The Best Friends law! Duh!"
"Yeah.... I'm not doing that."
"Please?" She was giving me her puppy dog face again.
"Stop that!"
"Stop what?"
"That puppy dog face! It won't work on me."
"Hmph!" I laughed as she stood up again and walked out of the Great Hall, Mia getting up from the Ravenclaw table and following her.
