~Major Time Skip~
Seraphina's POV:
The Great hall takes my breath away. The bewitched ceiling had been turned into a dark, full moon night and bats hung from it. Enchanted pumpkins were all over the hall, floating in the air, hovering over tables and sirting on the floor. Even the usual ghosts made the hall even freakier.
Although the Fat Frier isn't that scary.
I sat down at the Hufflepuff table and waited for Derek to arrive. A couple students around me involved me in their conversation, including Harriette, my roommate, and the only other Hufflepuff first year girl.
I saw Derek enter the room and I smiled, it was always nice being in his company. He sat down next to me and smiled as well.
"What do you think of the Great hall? It looks fantastic doesnt it?" I asked.
"Yeah, it does. You studying tonight? Or are you free to hang out with?"
I grimaced. "Sorry, I'm studying again."
He sighed. We havent had much time to hang out with eachother as we'd like to, between classes, me studying and Dereks and mine extra-curricular classes.
"But we could be study budies if you want to?" I offer.
"Sure, ive been falling behind in classes anyway."
"Cool! 6 good? Mias dragging me to a match at 7."
"6 is fine. See you then! Bye!" He says, noticing that ive already finished my food.
"Bye!"
Mias POV:
"-Isnt that pretty?"
"W-what?"
I snapped out of my daydream. I had no idea what the girl next to me was saying, something about nails and pretty. She looked at me grudgingly, figuring out that I'm not paying attention at all, she turns her head with a sassy hair flip and talks to the other person beside her, I feel sorry for them.
In the corner of my eye, I see Sera and Derek chatting. I can't wait for the quidditch match between Slytherin and Gryffindor! I go to every match not just the ones with my house playing, like Sera and Derek. I stop thinking about other things and concentrate my mind on finish the three, big slices of choclate cake, infront of me. I absoloutely love cake!
