Charlene's POV

I scrambled outside as fast as I could. I had heard the rumbling mere minutes before everyone else reacted to it. I counted on the fact that the others had also heard it, otherwise... I don't know..

My worries were confirmed when I reached the place we agreed on meeting if anything like this would happen, only to see that no one was there. I looked back at the castle, wondering what I should do. I knew that Derek would definitely have gone in, but it should be a fact by now that he and I are complete opposites.

" I'm going to regret this, I'm going to regret this... " I muttered, as I took out my wand and kept on walking into the forbidden forest, enough so that I felt the magic from hogwarts slowly disappear, and replace it with a magic of its own. I'd have to go through with the plan on my own. I took a small vial out of my robe pocket, drank it and disappeared. When the ringing in my ears ended, I found myself in a muggle house. I called out, " Is anyone home?" When no one replied, I went into the kitchen and looked in the fridge. I grabbed something and sat at the table. I hadn't eaten anything that day, luckily. If I had, I'd probably have thrown up. I heard the door open. I looked over, to see my aunt come in with shopping bags dangling from her arms. She dropped all of them when she spotted me though. Shame, I think the eggs broke judging from the sound it made.

" Hi. " I said, and continued eating.

" Charlene.. What are you doing here, deary? " she stuttered

" Long story. Don't tell dad, mkay? " I said.

" O-Ok dear. Can you help me with the groceries, since you're there. " She said.

I rolled my eyes. At home we had house elves for this, but apparently here we had to do it ourselves. Ugh.

I got up and took one of the bags from her. This was going to be a long few months.
