I walk down the dark street of Miami. A few lamposts lighting up some parts of the road. I look up and saw the moon illuminating beautifully in the dark sky and the stars, shining so brighting. The wind is hitting my face and I can feel a shiver run down to my spine.

I can see another bar at the end of the street that is still open at this hour. I went inside and there's only around fifteen people inside. I went straight at the bar counter and order a drink as I take a seat on the stool. I fish my phone out of my pocket and started dialling someone who I know I can talk to at this time. It only rings twice before she picks it up. "Hello?"

"Y/N? What the fuck do you want? It's almost midnight and you're calling me at this ungodly hour." Lucy hissed and I can't help but chuckle at her.

"Lucy, I need to talk to you. I don't know anyone who I can talk to at this time." I breathed out and chugged down my drink.

When she hinted the seriousness in my voice, I can hear her sigh and asked, "Where are you?" I told her the place where I am and she told me that she'll be here in ten minutes before ending the call.

Moments later, the petite Latina is already strutting her way to me. "Jeez, now even the woman who made a comeback from Boston is calling me too." She take a seat next to me and snatch the alcohol drink from my hand.

"Just like I told you, you're the only one I know in Miami whom I can call at this hour."

"Just look at the condition of your lips. I can tell exactly what happened." She scoff and take another sip on my drink.

"It's a good thing that you became a police woman and a detective," I pour the vodka on my glass and grab it from Lucy's hand. I take a swig and drink it all.

"So why did you even waste your time to talk to him and get yourself in this situation?" The Latina asked and place her elbow on the counter and rest her chin on her palms.

"I was going to tell him... but I felt like he already knew about Lauren and I, like he's giving a hint and asking me a really obvious question." I sighed and stare off of the space. "But there are some things that keeps on running in my mind like, if Dr. Luke Hemmings was less of a decent guy, it wouldn't have turned out this way. If would've been a lot more easier if Luke was treating Lauren like a shit, like there's a reason for me to hate him but he's not. He actually treats Lauren so good, there's no reason for me to hate that guy."

"Y/N Y/LN, I can't take your side on this matter." Lucy admitted and she sit up straight.

"I know," I told her with a slight disappointment in my voice. I'm kinda expecting her to take Lauren and I's side since she was there when I started to be there for Lauren.

I take the glass on Lucy's hand again and pour the it with a vodka and bring it closer to my lips as I take sip on it.

"Why? Are you disappointed?" The police woman asks as she crooked her eyebrows up.

"I don't know, maybe because out of all the people here in Miami, I thought you would at least take Lauren and I's side." I told her truthfully.

The Latina gave me a half shrug and said, "As someone who has seen everything up to now, I'm neutral. I'm not a referee, nor do I have any power as an observer over a love relationship between a man and woman. And two women,"

"Can I ask you what the reason is?" I look up at the Latina and I slide her the bottle of vodka.

"I know that it is both your fates. But fate at first sight isn't the only fate that is precious. I mean, you meet, you fight and while living you come to see it as fate." The petite brunette explained. "Aren't there fates like that as well? The one who made me realize that is Dr. Hemmings."
