Story: when I was 7 I got everything in purple (pencil cases, backpacks, etc) because I though purple would make me gender neutral. (My school was, and is, like heckin hick-ridden [Sorry if hick offends you <I don't know that it will>] so typically blue is male, and pink is female. That was mostly in like elementary, though. In high school, you don't worry about colors as much as work and classes... or other stuff if you aren't me. I don't know what normal people worry about at school.)
The moral of this story was that purple stuff meant nothing to judgemental 7 year olds, and colors have no gender.
