Chapter 23: Hajari's Challenge

"Squadd Bunch: Frozen in Time" part 2

A chilly winter fell on Earth, as Elsa threatened to freeze the entire planet. She wanted the wizards in her control, but the Squadd refused. They bravely flew to Elsa's kingdom, armed with the Second Gift of Destiny, the Winterix.

Back inside Elsa's ice tower, Daniyel is freezing to death, as icicles from under her nose and she is shivering. Her teeth are chattering together. The tower moves rapidly across the ocean, transposing it into a giant ice skating rink. Niguela comes into the room the Squadd are in.

"What's wrong, Squadd? Are you a little chilly," Niguela asks as she evilly laughs.

Even with the power of Winterix, the Squadd are freezing their extremities off. Hajari crawls over to Daniyel and places her head on his lap.

"That's enough, Niguela! Daniyel can't take much more of this. She can't survive these temperatures," Hajari said.

"Not cool!" said Musa.

"Ugh, well, there is one way you could save your friend, by doing me a favor. Since we Terrestrial Fairies can't enter Corona's cave, I need you to go in and bring Kaneal and the wizards to us, so we can punish them," Niguela said.

"I'm trying to use my healing powers to save Dani, but it's not working," said Hajari. "The ice tower is too strong. Dani could lose her life."

"Looks like you have one choice if you wanna save her."

"Whatever we choose, we're either condemning Dani or the wizards to a horrible end."

"Now I know why they're called the Gifts of Destiny," said Willow.

"Yes. The more powerful they are, the more responsibility they require."

Then, Hajari turns to Niguela. "You know you're not as tough as you think you are. You're just a coward." Then, Hajari angrily stands up. "You've picked on the weakest one of us."

"I don't know what Hajari's deal is, but if it's to make her angry, he's doing a pretty good job," Kajari said softly to the others.

"And you know Morgana hasn't been letting you do much now because she's worried you'd mess things up!" Hajari continued.

"That's enough!" Niguela said as she shoots a spell at Hajari.

"Ice Shield!" Hajari said as he blocks the attack. "See, that's what I mean. You call that an attack?"

Niguela approaches Hajari.

"Why don't we settle this the old fashion way. If you beat me, I'll hand over the wizards. If I win, you free us."

"Ha! Game on," Niguela replied.

"Hajari, are you seriously know what you're doing?" asked Hajarianna.

"No. I'm using my instinct."

"Oh, I see well in that case..." Niguela said. Niguela traps the Squadd in a giant ice cube.

"Oh no!" cried Willow.

"The cage will protect Dani from the outside temperature," Niguela said.

 Daniyel stops shivering.

"But if you try to break it open, it will be the end for you all." Niguela walks out of the room. "As for you, Hajari, you're just going to have to wait."

"Now what?" asked Hajari.

The ice tower is slowing down once it reaches Los Angeles. This is the stop. This is the last place Elsa plans to freeze, truly, the only place she can freeze on Earth because she's frozen the whole planet.
