"Make it fast, I don't have time." I sighed as I sat back down in the chair and swung my backpack on the table, it making a loud bang noise one it came in contact with the black material.

"You interrupted my speech to your class, and then you sat there and chit chatted with your friend, not paying attention." He leaned back in Mrs. Wilsons chair, interlocking his fingers. He looked so powerful.

"I don't need to know how to run a business. Now if you don't mind, I'm going to PE." I stood up and grabbed my backpack.

"Sit down now." Avery growled. He's as powerful as my dad, and as scary as my dad. I groaned but sat back down, both of us staring each other down. His jaw clenched and his eyes darkened in......lust?

"Fuck it." He said standing up and walked towards me. Was he going to kiss me? What if he does? What if I become another one of his flings? God no I'm only a senior and he's like 20 something.

"I did not ask you to stay late to talk about business." He leaned on my desk, getting in my face. He smelled like vanilla and his breath was minty. As he looked in my grey eyes his eyes darkened even more.

"Then what do you wanna talk to me about?" I leaned backwards in my seat, trying to get away from him. He was way to close for my comfort.

It was quiet for a moment as he looked me over. Then a smirk creeped on his face as he leaned away from me.

"Actually, I'll let your dad tell you." He said deeply before opening up the class room door. I grabbed my backpack and slowly walked to the door, making sure this wasn't a trap.

"Have a nice day." He whispered once I was by him, making goosebumps trail across my skin. I walked in the hall right as the belle rang, making me curse out loud.

"Hey honey, how was school?" Mom asked once I get in the white Tahoe. I dropped my backpack on the floor board and turned on my phone, buckling up.

"Boring." I reply as mom drove away from the hell hole. I went straight to Snapchat and answered my streaks.

"Anything new about prom?" Mom ask, her voice soft and sweet. I felt a smile creep on my face as I thought about Mason.

"Mason asked me to go with him." My smile got even brighter as his name appears on my screen.

"Mason....?" Mom trailed off. I scrunched my nose in disgust as I think of the other Mason in my grade, Mason Halpert. Who is already dating Olivia Collum.

"Montgomery, mom." I opened masons Snapchat and my face heats up as he sent me a mirror picture of him in his baseball pants without a shirt on, showing his 6 pack while the caption said 'are you coming to my baseball game tonight?'

"Oh my god! The cute one who plays baseball?" Mom gasped. I chuckle at her Childness behavior.

"Yes mom." I reply, taking a picture of the road and saying 'of course.' And send it to him. In under a second he has already opened it and replied.

"Did you say yes?" Mom said pulling in front of the golden gate in front of our house. The two guards opened the gates once they saw us.

"Yep." I popped the 'p'. We parked the car and got out slinging my backpack over my shoulders. We walked in the house and the warm air hit my skin.

"Go lay down!" Mom yelled at our dog, Lucy, who was jumping all over her. Mom grumbled as she fixed her beige pink dress. I walked upstairs into my room, closing my door with no energy at all as I was to busy texting Mason.

I plopped in my black office chair by my makeup desk as I finished talking to my streaks. I pulled my homework out of my bag and started on math. God I fluffing hate math. As I pulled out my science book Avery circled my mind. What did he mean by let my dad tell me. Did he know something I didn't? Well of course he does because dad pays more attention to him then what he does me.

"Emerson darling, come down stairs I need to talk to you." Dad yelled up the stairs. His deep voice holding power. This must be important because he never wants to talk to me. I opened my door and walked downstairs, seeing dad standing in the living room in a suit.

"Yes father?" I asked. He motioned for me to follow him as he walked into his office. I looked over at mom who shrugged. I followed him into his office.

"Shut the door." He said as he sat down in his chair behind his desk. I did as told and then turned to look at him.

"You remember Avery wood, right?" Dad asked. I slowly nodded my head,

"What about him?" I asked, standing in my spot. Dad licked his lips as he leaned his elbows on his desk, looking me in the eyes.

"You are arranged to get married to him." He said simply without no hesitation. My jaw dropped and anger rose in me. What was I suppose to say to this?

"Your joking right?" I asked. He simply shook his head,

"I'm afraid not, darling." The look in his eyes and face told me that this wasn't a joke. I scoffed,

"I am not marrying a selfish, stuck up billionaire!" I slammed my tiny hands on his desk. He reacted calmly, making me shake in anger.

"To bad sweetheart, it's already arranged." Dad interlocked his fingers, leaning back in his chair. I glared at him,

"You'll regret this." I threatened. He shrugged and looked at me.

"Emerson darling, you'll thank me later."
