My mouth hung open as I stared at the black box, "you want to marry her?" I asked. He looked taken back by my answer.

"Yeah, is that ok?" He asked. I quickly nodded my head.

"Yeah. I'm definitely ok with it, it's just she's still married- to my dad." I said awkwardly. He shrugged.

"I love you and your mom Emma, I don't care if she's still married to him or not. I want to be right here with you guys forever." He smiled. My heart melted. My dad has never told me he loved me, and Daren said the words I've been longing to hear from a dad. Daren is practically my dad.

"Me and mom love you to Daren." I said as I pulled him into a hug.

*~*

I groaned as, yet again, I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. I leaned my head back against the coach and let my spoon drop into the ice cream bucket.

"What is it want now?? I'm feeding you!" I groaned as I looked down at my stomach. The baby has been kicking, punching, head butting, etc.

"It's probably because your feeding the poor baby ice cream." I heard moms voice behind me.

"Everybody loves ice cream!" I turned my head to look at her. She raised an eyebrow at me before walking towards me, grabbing the ice cream bucket off my lap.

"I'm going to make you something healthy." She said.

"Please not broccoli or spinach." I groaned, looking at her. I've been eating that for a week now, and I hate spinach. It's gross and nasty, and mom knows I hate it but she keeps feeding me it. The only reason why I eat it is for the baby I'm carrying. Broccoli isn't that bad, but I'm getting tired of eating it.

Mom stared at me for a minute, thinking about it. She sighed before giving in, "Fine, no broccoli or spinach."

"Yay! I love you." I smiled up at my mom. She rolled her eyes and walked into the kitchen with my ice cream bucket.

A few minutes later she came out with a salad with broccoli and ranch on the side. I happily took it, considering I'm hungry and salad happens to be my favorite healthy snack.

Mom sat besides me and looked in deep thought. Her eyebrows were scrunched up, and her grey eyes held confusion.

"Are you ok?" I asked. She looked at me before nodding her head.

"Just thinking." She responded.

"About...?" I motioned her her to go on. She sighed and turned her body to face me.

"What is Daren to you?" She asked.

"Your boyfriend."

"I know, but do you look to him as your dad?" She asked. I thought about it for a minute.

"Yeah." I responded.

"Then what is Christopher to you?" Her eyes looked into mine.

"My father?" I said more as a question. I didn't want it to say the wrong thing.

"Do you like Daren more than your father?"

"Mom why are you asking me this?" I asked. She shrugged.

"Because your father isn't a good person, but Daren is. And I feel like it's my fault that you and your brother and sister don't have a regular life. No matter how much I wish Daren was your guys father, he isn't. He's just your dad." She looked really upset, like she actually thought it was her fault.

"Mom, anybody can be a father. But it takes someone special to be a dad." I said. She looked up at me. Her grey eyes twinkled with tears as she pulled me into a hug.

"Your amazing." She sighed.

"So are you, but I can't breath." I choked out. She chuckled and let me go. I took a bite of my salad and moaned. I love salad.

"Aspen and the boys should be back soon." Mom smiled. I nodded my head. They've been gone for 2 hours now. I know if I was them working in this type of weather, I would be gone for 2 minutes only to come right back.

"It's actually nice with then gone, I get piece and quiet." I smiled. "I should take a nap before they come back." I suggested.

"If you want. It's only 2 pm." Mom looked at the clock on the wall. I took one more big bite out of my salad before setting it down and waddling my ways upstairs, literally waddling.

Once I was in my room I closed my door and laid in my bed. Before I knew it I fell asleep.

*~*
"Really? Your napping?" Aspens voice brought me out of my sleep. I opened my eyes and looked at her, she had her hands on her hips as she looked at me.

"Go away." I groaned. She scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"Your so crabby." She said as she sat down at the end of my bed. I rested my arm over my eyes.

"Where's Greyson?" I asked.

"With his mom." She replied. I hummed in response. Everything went quiet and I felt myself drifting back to sleep until aspen said something.

"I think he likes you." She said. I lifted my arm a little to look at her.

"And you think this why?" I ask.

"Because I see the way he looks at you, and the way he talks about you. He seems so in love when he's around you. It explains why he was so upset and angry about you marrying Avery, and it makes since why he's not happy about the baby." She explained. I let her words sink in. It does make since, but that would only be if he liked me. He would of told me by now or maybe even earlier.

"He doesn't though." I say.

"But he could." She sang. "You two would of been a cute couple though. But I like you and Avery more, you guys are goals." I felt a smile creep on my face at the thought of me and Avery being 'goals.'

"Mom and Daren are goals." I say. I heard aspen giggle.

"They are! Daren is more of a father to you than Christopher ever was." Aspen said. I nodded my head in agreement. It was silent for a moment.

"So...can you tell me where the baby shower is?" I asked hopeful.

"Nope! But trust me you'll love it. Just promise me you woke cry." Aspen said. I chuckled.

"No promises, hormones get the best of me sometimes." I laughed. Aspen soon laughed with me. I love the best friend moments we have, it makes me realize how much of a good aunt she'll be.
