I stared at the big brick house, my heart beating rapidly as a smile crept on my face. I don't know why I was nervous, it's my siblings for gosh sakes.

I felt a warm hand grab mine. I didn't have to look to know it was Avery. I tried ignoring it, but that didn't happen.

"Come on." He grumbled. It sounded like he wasn't excited to see Miranda and Landon. He pulled me across the street onto the porch.

I don't know if it's considered my old house now because I don't live there anymore, I live with Avery.

I eyed the doorknob and didn't hesitate to turn it and push the white oak door open. I slipped my hand out of Avery's and ran into Landon's arms, whose arms were already wide open like he was waiting.

"Gosh you've gotten so big!" Landon's grip on me tightened.

"And you've gotten uglier." I was pulling away from him to get away from his death grip. He narrowed his eyes at me before letting me go. I let out a squeal as I fell back and on my butt.

"Dick." I mumbled as I got up. He chuckled and rolled his eyes. I looked over at Miranda, who looked exactly like mom. I walked over to her and rested my hand on her shoulder.

"Mom?" I teased.

"Stop it." She smiled as she pulled me into a hug. I miss this, I miss them. I don't wanna let go.

"Emerson darling, can we talk?" His voice entered my ears. I pulled away from my sister and narrowed my eyes at my father, hating him with everything I have in me.

"No father, we can not." I said father a little to harshly. He looked taken back by my response, because I never say no to him- it's a rule we have. Oh well, not the first time I've broken a rule.

"Emerson-"

"Don't." Mom snapped, cutting dad off. She was glaring at him while he looked at her with love in his eyes. If he actually loved her, he wouldn't have put her through hell. It was silent until dad cleared his throat.

"Landon, can I see you in my office?" Dad asked. I looked over at Landon, pleading him with my eyes to say no. He ignored me and nodded, now following dad into his office.

"Stupid mafia shit." Miranda said once his office door closed. I nodded my head in agreement. I felt arms wrap around me, taking me by surprise until I remembered that Avery was still here. Ha, I forgot my own husband.

"We should do something." Mom smiled at me and Avery, thinking that we're actually getting along. Sorry to disappoint you ma, but we still hate each other.

"Like you leaving that bastard?" Miranda blurted out. I gasped at her using such foul language, she used to always to such a good girl. She would never say a bad word. But now I guess that changed.

"Miranda I-"

"No mom! He forced Emma into something that she clearly didn't want, he made Landon join the mafia, and now he's probably thinking of ways to involve you into his wicked ways!" Miranda was pissed. Mom stayed calm tho, knowing everything Miranda was saying was right.

"I am leaving him, tonight." Mom said. Miranda smirked and mom looked at me. Of course, I already knew.

"Where are you going to stay?" Miranda asked. Mom broke out in a tiny smile,

"Im getting my own house," Mom said. "I already have it paid for and everything. It's out in the woods, far away from here."

"What about Emerson? Will he be able to contact her?" Miranda asked. I nodded in agreement, really wanting to know if he will or not. I felt Avery's grip on me tighten.

"Uh, I don't know. I'm still working on it."

"What do you mean?" Miranda asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Do you know how hard it is going to be to get an restraining order on the most feared person in London?" Mom asked. It was quiet until Avery spoke up,

"I'll help, if that's what you want." Oh so now you wanna be nice.

"Thanks Avery." Mom smiled warmly at him while Miranda stared at him like this was the first time she saw him. She looked at him, then me, then back at him.

"Avery." She mumbled.

"Miranda." He said back. There was tension in the room and by the way she was looking at him. But how? She's never spoke about him before. Is there something she's not telling me? Then the office door opened and out stepped Landon and dad.

"We're gonna go, we'll be back in a little." Dad said looking at mom.

"Ok." Mom shrugged. Landon looked at me then at Avery, his face falling hard in anger as he looked towards dad.

"That shouldn't of happened." He told dad as he pointed to the ring on my finger. Landon sent Avery a harsh glare before walking past us and out side. Dad rubbed his face as he stared at me.

"Do they know about my first born, or is that another surprise for them?" I asked harshly. His body tenses up and his eyes darkened a little.

"Soon You'll see that this was a good idea." He grumbled before walking out the door. I rolled my eyes, knowing he was wrong. There was no way me and Avery were gonna work out. Me and him are so different. And there is no way, no absolute way, that giving away my first born was a 'good idea'. You would have to be a sick person to think that.

"What does he mean? What about your first born?" Miranda asked worriedly. I felt my eyes water up, thinking about giving my baby away as some sex slave to a mafia leader.

It was silent, no one daring to say a word. Miranda looked back and fourth at me and mom.

"What about her first born, mom?" Miranda's voice rose.

"He promised to give away Emma's first born child," mom whispered with her head tilted down. Miranda's face fell. Now she knows that her niece or nephew is being sold off when there not even a day old.

"W-what?" Miranda said slowly.

"But don't worry, there's no way that he'll get his hands on their child when they have one. Avery and I won't allow it."

"He's capable of anything. He gets anything and everything he wants!" Miranda said.

"But he won't get their child,"

"You should of left him a long time ago. If you would of listened to your mom and dad Me and Landon wouldn't of moved away, and none of this would be happening to Emerson! You would get to see your grandchildren when ever you wanted to, and Emerson wouldn't be married to someone who doesn't even love her. She's 17 mom. She doesn't deserve this." Miranda snapped before running upstairs. I looked down at my hands, knowing she was right. It kind of hurt when she said that I was married to someone who didn't love me, but she's right. But this was not moms fault. I didn't know who to blame, all I knew is that it wasn't moms fault. She's married to the most feared guy in London, this was bound to happen when they said I do.
