After telling my best friends about me being forced to marry Londons billionaire, I drove home. They, especially Greyson, didn't take the news to well. Well, actually, Aspen was just ranting about how we need to go dress shopping. I never really thought of that until she said something. But I am thinking about moving or running away. Getting a fake ID and moving far away from here.

I walked inside the house to see my mom and dad standing in the living room. Mom looked nervous and dad was on his phone.

"What now?" I asked, shutting the door behind me. Mom opened her mouth to say something but before she could a voice cut her off,

"Hello kitten." My eyes snapped over to Avery, making my stomach twist in knots. My hands balled into fist.

"What is he doing here?" I spat, looking at my parents. Dad put him phone in his pocket and looked at me.

"Well he's here to discuss the wedding, darling." Dad stretched out a tattooed arm at Avery. I glared at all 3 of them.

"Please don't make this harder then it has to be, Emerson." Mom pleaded. My jaw clenched but I gave in. Me, mom and dad sat on the couch while Avery sat in the chair across from us.

"Ok. So what do we need to talk about?" I broke the silence. Me and Avery made eye contact, his blue eyes darkening with lust once again.

"Dressing, Setting, Music, invitations." Mom started. I rolled my eyes and slumped back into the couch.

"It doesn't have to be big." I mumbled. Mom looked at me,

"Of course it's going to be big. Your father and Avery's father agreed on a big wedding." Mom smiled. Me and Avery shared a groan.

"When's the....wedding?" It felt weird saying that. I'm only seventeen, I'm not the proper age to get married yet. Mom and dad shared a look.

"What?" I asked sitting up. Mom mumbled something.

"When?" I ask, not understanding her.

"This Friday." Dad said. I snapped my head to turn to him with wide eyes.

"No no no no no." I stood up.

"Sit down." Dad gritted from between his teeth. I crossed my arms but sat down. I was not death glaring Avery, I hate him.

"Since the wedding is Friday, you can't go to prom with Mason." Mom said slowly. I looked at her in disbelief.

"But mom." I started. I was getting way to mad that my eyes started to prickle with tears.

"I'm sorry-"

"No your not! If you were you wouldn't be making me do this! And I am going to prom with Mason and no one is stopping me." I stood up and walked towards the stairs, going to my room.

"Emerson!" I heard dad yell. But I didn't care. I slammed my door shut and locked it. I plopped on my bed while tears ran down my face. I wish dad wasn't in the mafia. I wish he was the father I wanted.

*~*

I opened my eyes, only to greeted by a fairly amount of sunlight. I rubbed my eyes and yawned. Apparently I fell asleep. I looked over to my clock, to see that it was 9am and I was very much late to school. I quickly jumped out of bed and walked over to me door, realizing it was locked. I feel asleep with my door locked. I unlocked it and ran downstairs to see mom in the living room.

"Mom." My voice was raspy. I hate my morning voice. She turned around in her spot and smiled at me.

"Good morning sleeping beauty." Mom smiled at me. She has a full face of makeup on and she was dressed in a tight blue dress that shower a fair amount of Cleavage.

"I'm late for school." I squinted do to the amount of sunlight blinding me. I heard mom chuckle,

"Your not going today." Now that was music to my ears. I watched as she stood up and walked over to me.

"Now go get dressed, we have plans today." Mom rubbed my shoulders. I didn't care what the plans was, I was just excited to not be going to school. I changed into skinny jeans and a T shirt. Then I brushed my hair and did my makeup. I slipped on my boots and walked back downstairs.

"I'm ready!" I called out. Mom walked out of the kitchen and smiled at me. I looked around and realized dad wasn't here.

"Dad with the gang?" I asked. She nodded her head. Without another word we walked outside and into the car, driving off.

"So, where are we going?" I ask. Mom put on her sunglasses and bit her lip.

"Don't freak out." She said. I looked at her. When she says 'don't freak out' it means it's bad.

"No promises." I mumbled. She let out a sigh before pulling up to a shop. I looked at the sign and my jaw clenched in anger.

"Were shopping for your wedding dress." Mom said simply. I re read the sign over and over again. Wedding dress boutique.

"And Avery's mom will be here to." I looked over at mother, seeing her taking off her sun glasses.

"Avery's mom is the biggest bitch in London!" I said. Mom nodded her head in agreement,

"I know. But we have to be on our best behavior." Mom looked at me with all seriousness. I slumped in my seat.

"And I have good news." Mom chirped. I looked at her, wondering what it was now.

"Avery said he didn't care who you went with to prom, so you can go with Mason!" Mom clapped her hands together in excitement. I smiled and I couldn't help be excited to.

We got out of the car and walked into the boutique. I looked around at all the big white wedding gowns. They were all ugly. My idea of a wedding dress is lace, tight, and short.

"Oh look who's finally here." Said a familiar voice. I looked over and saw Jasmine Wood walking over towards us.

"Nice to see you again Jasmine." Mom fake smiled at Avery's mom. They hugged each other and jasmine turned to look at me.

"You must be Emerson." She smiled sweetly at me, but the look in her eyes didn't fool me. She obviously didn't want me marrying her son, and I obviously didn't want to.

"Yes I am. Nice to meet you Mrs. Wood." I fake smiled at her to.

"Let's start, shall we?"
