Chapter Nine- Oh. My. Gosh.

When I pulled into the driveway, my mom's car was here. That's unusual.

I walked in the door to see my mom standing there waiting for me.

"Yes?"

"Sweetie, tomorrow night, we will be having dinner here with my boss and his family."

"Why?"

"So I can get on his good side of course. Don't forget to dress nice tomorrow night."

"Ok, mom. I've had a long day I'm going to bed."

BEEP BEEP

Ugh. Stupid alarm clock. I need my beauty sleep.

Thank The Lord it's Friday.

I got up, got dressed, and headed to school.

I so don't want to do this stupid dinner tonight. I don't want to meet my mom's boss.

I went through all of my morning classes and now it's time for lunch.

I went through the line and grabbed some pizza. You know, schools really ruin pizza, and, I mean, how can you ruin pizza?

I walked in to the main part of the cafeteria and sat down with my best friend, Kaytee.

"Hey Kaytee bear"

"Hey Chandler"

"OMG! I haven't talked to you in forever. We need to catch up."

"Well, I could come over to your house tonight."

"I wish, but I can't. I have to have dinner with my mom and her boss' family."

"Oh, that sucks. Tomorrow night then?"

"Definitely."

That's when the be for afternoon classes rang.

"Ok. Well, see you tomorrow."

"K. Bye Kaytee bear."

I went through all of my classes, but I couldn't really concentrate. I was thinking about how this dinner would go.

Before I knew it, the last bell had rang, and I was in my truck.

I got home a ran upstairs to get dressed. I straightened my hair and put my makeup on first.

Then, I grabbed a coral dress, a brown belt, and my brown cowboy boots.

I put that on, and that's when I heard the doorbell. My mom must have gotten home but didn't bother me.

I ran downstairs and waited in the living room for the family.

The first person I saw, was a young girl that looked around the age of thirteen.

"Hi, I'm Chandler. It's nice to meet you."

"Hello, I'm Mckenzie. It's nice to meet you, too."

The next person to walk in knocked me completely off guard.

It was Aden's dad.

Then, Aden's mom.

That can only mean one thing. This is Aden's family.

And I bet his parents are completely different with other people.

Oh. My. Gosh.
