Chapter Eighteen- pregnant?

The countdown? 2 weeks left with Aden

So, aside for this entire Aden Black thing, there hasn't been much drama in my life.

Except for the fact that I missed my last period.

So, I did what any other girl would do in this situation, I called my best friend.

"Kaytee! Thank The Lord you answered! I need to tell you something and you have to promise not to judge me or hate me or anything like that. Promise?"

"Of course, Chandler! I promise. I could never hate you you're my best friend."

"Okay, so you know how I moved in with Aden black right?"

"Yeah, you told me."

"Well, on the first night that I was here-"

And I told her all about that night. How Aden and I slept together and I left him the minute he fell asleep.

"Woah, Chan. I didn't know you had it in you."

"Okay, so, since then, he's been trying to get me to fall for him because he supposedly likes me."

"Really?"

"Yeah, so, the thing I called you about was that um I missed my period and it was supposed to be a week ago."

Silence. That's all I heard on the other end of the phone.

"Chan, you don't think that you're pregnant, do you?"

"That's the thing Kay, I don't remember if he used protection or not. I'm freaking out right now!"

"Well, the first thing I need you to do, is to calm down. Then, I want you to meet me at the drug store in fifteen minutes, alright? After that, you can come to my house and take the test there."

"Okay, I'm on my way."

Then the line went dead.

I walked out to my truck and started to drive.

I can't be pregnant. There is no way. I have my whole life ahead of me. I wanted to play soccer in college and now I might not even go to college.

I put those thoughts out of my head when I pulled up to the drug store.

I saw Kaytee's black Ford Buick sitting in the parking lot. We got out of our cars at the same time and met at the front doors.

We walked in in silence and bought the test. We were still in silence as we walked out.

I got into my truck and followed her to her house. Luckily, her parents and brothers weren't home right now.

I took the upstairs and did the requirements.

It doesn't matter what this test says. Either way I will be fine with it. If I am pregnant, I will support this baby and hope Aden will, too. If not, I will be more careful in the future.

I looked down at the test.

Oh. My. Gosh.
