Chapter Twenty-three

Chapter twenty three- Truth be told

The countdown? 12 days left with Aden.

I haven't talked to Aden since the incident yesterday. I guess that you could say that I have went into a state of minor depression because I thought that Aden was really going to change for me, but I guess that I'm just like all of those other girls.

Truth be told, I was going to tell Aden that I actually liked him yesterday, that is until I saw what he decided to do in his free time.

To get my mind off of him, I decided that I would make a trip to the mall.

Just as I walked in one of my favorite stores, I saw a young girl, probably about seventeen, being bombarded with insults by three women who looked to be in their mid-forties.

"This is why the younger generation is the way they are!" and "You are setting a terrible example for young girls by coming out in public!" stuck out to me the most.

I made my way over there and pushed through until I was in the middle.

"Just leave her alone. We all make mistakes!"

Once I said that, the women dispersed.

"Thanks for that," The nameless girl said.

"Oh, it's no problem. You should've never been in that situation. I'm sorry, I never got your name."

"Oh, right, it's Kimberly."

"Nice to meet you Kimberly, I'm Chandler."

"It's great to meet you, and thanks, again. Can I put my number in your phone? I honestly don't have any friends since I became pregnant."

"Oh, sure. Call me anytime." I told her as I handed my phone over. She put her number in and handed it back to me. We exchanged goodbyes and went our separate ways.

Nothing else exciting happened the rest of the day, but I didn't know that tomorrow would be drama filled.
