I was abruptly awoken to my phone ringing. I rolled over in my bed and saw that it was Kimberly.
"Hello?"
"Chandler? I'm so sorry to call you at this time of night, but I really need someone to talk to, " she sobbed into the phone.
"No, no, it's fine Kimberly. What do you need to talk about?"
"It's just, the baby's dad came over to my apartment this afternoon and he told me that he wasn't ready for this and he left me all alone. I can't raise this child by myself, Chandler, I need help."
"Kim, I promise you that I will stay by your side even if I just met you. You shouldn't have to raise a child by yourself."
"Thank you. Again, I'm sorry for calling you so late, but I had no one else to call."
"It's okay. I'll see you later. Just text me your address."
With that, we hung up and I rolled over to go back to sleep.
It's going to be a long day.
