Jake wanted to take me to the old park. He told me it was his favorite place out of the whole entire town and I agreed with him. We sat down at the edge of a cliff, looking out to the other half of the town. It was so beautiful and majestic just looking at the view; I wished I could stay here forever. I looked over at Jake who was focused on the biggest tree out of the bunch. The sun hitting him just enough to the point where his blue eyes shone and could see that he was hiding something. It seemed dark and painful. "What's wrong?" I asked. He didn't say anything, just kept watching the other half of the town. I asked again and this time he looked at me and smiled, placing his hand on my cheek. I could feel that his hand was cold, ice cold. "Please answer me." I said softly. "I have to tell you something...." he trailed off, stopping in mid thought. I grabbed his hand and looked him the eye and said, "You can tell me anything, There's nothing in this world that would make me think differently, I promise." He grimaced and grabbed both my hands and said, "I will tell you eventually, but not now, when you're ready." "But I'm ready now, please." I said persistent. He shook his head and I knew that it wouldn't be today. Disappointed I got up and he looked up at me. "Please come sit back down." he begged. "You promise you'll tell me." "I promise with my life, I will tell you." he replied sincerely. I sait back down facing him and asked, "When?" "Soon." I rolled my eyes and placed my head on his shoulder, watching the skyline.
