Later that night, I started on my English project putting in some deep thought. Soon Mary called me down for dinner and I was off to see that my dad and mom were already there talking. They stopped when I pulled my chair out and sat down. I began digging into the pasta when my dad asked me, "So, how was school today, anything new." Not looking up from my plate, I told him, "You know nothing new, same old homework and tests." He smiled and said, "Well keep up the good work. I met up with your principal today at lunch and talk a quite good about you." I looked up and smiled while my mother rolled her eyes. I looked back down and picked up my glass of water. That's the thing with my parents, they both saw me differently. To my dad, I was the person he would give his business to and my mom wanted me to be exactly like her. When I see myself, I see that I'm at NYU doing photography and taking every moment to love life, and right now I would do anything to have that dream.
